Rang the bell 3 time, man that finally came out look totally annoy to be bothered. Greated me with, rudly"what's that!!" to the cat I had. Was extremely rude, disrespectful, told me he did not care what I did with it. To put it back where I found it. (Stuck under the shead in my back yard) Heartless!! Seriously should not be working in an animal shelter, or with animals , not a good person, or nice person.
Seriously awful shelter. Awful man!
Fyi. I kept the kitten.

During my visit to the animal shelter, I rang the bell three times on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, the man who greeted me displayed a surprising amount of attitude. In a previous visit, a kind and friendly lady made my experience more enjoyable, allowing me to interact with the cats. I'm still considering adopting one despite the mixed encounters.Something else I suspect is that they don't take good care of the animals- the cats fur was incredibly rough and as if it wasn't cleaned.

Called 911 who contacted animal control to pick up a dog on the Kemah bridge and they wouldn’t because “they were full” so they left a hurt dog who couldn’t ON the bridge with no way off. They didn’t even try.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE…!!!! Needs to be shut down… They do NOT check animals for disease before they are adopted out. They allowed a 19yr old kid to adopt a dog. The dog ran away and came to my house. The owner came and got him and then dropped the dog back off 3 hours later. I took the dog to vet and he is POSITIVE for HEARTWORMS….!! Seabrook animal rescue would not help with any vet bills even though they are 100% responsible. The “supervisor” is rude and incompetent…!!! Shame on this place for not checking their animals before they get adopted…!!!!! (This is all within a 3 week period so the dog already had heat worms before he was adopted)

Absolutely terrible conduct from whomever was answering the phones sept 29, 2021 around 8:15. I call to report an abandoned kitten that had been left out in the open in the rain, crying nonstop. After putting it in a towel to keep it dry and simply moving it out of the rain. (But keeping it nearby) The mother had moved the others but hadn’t been back in what seemed like a very long time. I am told by whoever answered the phone that I’ve “killed that kitten and now mom won’t come back”. Also, that he was going to euthanize it when it got there. Ummm, if it’s been abandoned in the rain for hours and hours, doesn’t that mean it’s probably going to die? I even waited to try and look for the signs it might be abandoned so I wasn’t taking it from mom. He then went on to lecture me about how the cat needs its mother. That they wouldn’t even try to find a foster for it. Really? How insanely unprofessional, and cold hearted. The woman that came from animal control was really good but this guy is awful.

Called to have a little dog with a face tumor rescued and nobody had cared. Gave then location and they kept saying it wasn't for them and proceeded to give me the run around. Do not donate money as they do not rescue dogs when called upon to do so. This is absolutely an Inert rescue organization. I am disgusted by the amount of carelessness

The people I met really care, but there's no vet on file for them. They had no records to speak of when I adopted my cat, and I ended up finding out she had FIV(feline AIDs) which is highly contagious for cats. Definitely schedule a vet visit before you introduce them to any cats you have at home.

I’ve only lived in Seabrook 3 weeks & have already called twice. First for a snake on my property & second trying to track down my missing cat. Both times, they were courteous, professional & quick to help. I appreciate your hard work! Thank you!

I adopted my kitty Simba from here. The adoption was painless and I am so extremely happy with my baby. I wish I would have received the email with volunteer forms because I would love to help out. The love and care they give the animals is amazing. The staff are good people with hearts of pure gold. God bless each one of themBetty Marks

Very small local shelter with two amazing staff members. This is not a large fully staffed shelter, so it can be difficult to walk-in during posted hours. One will need to call the office number and check for availability. Living in the area, this is understandable since you will typically see the animal control vehicle out and about daily. They are incredibly caring, and our family now has two beautiful fur babies. Both were abandoned and thrown out like trash during the coldest months of the year. If it were not for the caring staff of this shelter, I cannot imagine what would have been the outcome for our sweet, VERY spoiled girls. Please support this shelter through adoption, donations or volunteering.

I went by 3 times in one day and no one was there, they leave the place unattended. I went up to the front doors and asked why no ones has been there all day and the guy working was just sitting back in the offices chatting. Makes me so upset that he is paid to take care of the animals and he just gossips instead of working all day.

We are looking for a playmate for our 3 yr old dog. The staff and manager was very gracious with their time introducing us to a very sweet dog/people friendly candidate, Samsung, . Then we came back the next day for the dogs to meet. Samsung was sweet, gentle, and very patient with our obnoxious min pin. I was very impressed with all the staff is doing given it's extremely limited resources. Thank you again and keep up the great work!!!
