AWFUL MANAGEMENT!!! BEWARE! This is an average hotel nicely re-done under new management (Choice Hotels). This place is nothing more than an money-grab though. I booked a room through Travelocity and mistakenly entered the wrong arrival date. I cancelled immediately after realizing I made this mistake (within 5 minutes) and NEITHER the HOTEL nor TRAVELOCITY would allow me to change the date of my reservation or refund the money. Either return on the incorrect date or lose the full room cost. BEWARE! - BEING HUMAN AND MAKING AN HONEST MISTAKE WILL COST YOU! I will never spend another $ at this hotel, through Travelocity, or with CHOICE HOTELS ever again.

I am a housekeeping manager at a property in downtown Austin, and this is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. There were a few small issues, but the room and hotel overall were very clean. The staff was also super friendly, too.

Positives: location is good. We had a wedding and the room was 5 minutes from the location. Easy location to get to. Room and Hotel clean. Polite staff.Negatives: lobby was HOT but room was cool. ?♀️ We booked a couple weeks in advance and wanted a single king. Was told only double queens were available. Asked again at checkin. BUT there were like 10 cars in the parking lot. Did they do this to charge more??? My biggest complaint was the bed. It literally felt like I was sleeping on concrete. No give or cushion. I actually got up at 3am and tried to sleep in the chair but it didn’t recline. So I took all the blankets and pillows off the other bed and tried to cushion the bed I was sleeping on. Woke up with back pain. Didn’t eat the breakfast so can’t comment except for that it did not look appealing.AND the little shampoo/lotion etc you get. Was half empty? I mean dang!! Can you replace it between people. That’s so gross! Did take a shower (with my own shampoo) and the water smelled really bad ughTissue also looks like it was stuffed back into the box.There were only a few hotels to choose from in the town. Next time I will drive the extra 20 minutes to LaGrange.

Either they don't have a water softener or it is not working. You will not be able to get the soap off of your body. You can try to rinse for hours and you will just be covered in slime. It is absolutely disgusting!!!Very inappropriate to continue with a personal telephone conversation while checking a guest in.Rooms are new, but not really being cleaned. Elevator door is opening before it reaches the ground and settles. They have a fake elevator inspection certificate. It shows it's for a Best Western. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Doors are paper thin, lightest weight doors I've ever felt at a hotel and I stay at 75+ a year. Eggs and sausage were literally cold. Whomever is running this needs to go back to running their crack motels. STAY AWAY, you will regret it in the morning if you stay here.Rooms: New

****Edit update at bottom****We made reservations 2 months in advance as part of a very large group outing, a group large enough that filled this place plus the Holiday Inn next door, where a discounted group rate had been agreed upon for each location. We verified, with this hotel, we were part of the group with the correct price on 3 separate occasions leading up to our stay. Upon checking out, I again asked that we were receiving the group rate and was told, in fact, that we were being charged the regular rate because our room wasn't in the group block.Trying to understand their position, the "manager", in the middle of my calm questions decided he wouldn't talk to me any longer and attempted to "dismiss" me.As another couple from our group came off the elevator, I mentioned that they would need to check their charges as the hotel was not honoring their agreement, the manager started yelling that I was wrong and I was lying and that he had to call 911 on me.Front desk and customer service is non existent.The rooms are usable, something that could be expected of a 20 year old stop. The front lobby was extremely hot, but the ac in the room seemed to work fine, the refrigerator in the room did not work, was making noises and defrosting.Should the management, or preferably the owner, decide to make things right and honor the agreement, I will gladly update this review.*****A call was made to the hotel to have the paid receipt emailed. Within minutes, a receipt was received showing the inflated rates, then a phone call from the hotel to verify the receipt was received. During the call, another receipt was received showing a credit to reflect the agreed group rate. At this point, my complaint has been addressed.The hotel has potential if the front desk will take hospitality seriously.

The nastiest bathtub ever! Opted to not take a shower in this nasty place! The front desk was offended when I told them about how dirty it was! The response was: "we clean our bathtubs everyday" Yeah right! if you clean your bathtubs everyday, it would not be in such a deplorable condition. Nasty Nasty! Don't stay at this place ever! It actually deserves three NASTY!!!! I think we would much rather use the water hose outside than step in the nastiest bathtub! Full of crud and crustiness all around the ring around the bathtub!

The room was clean and comfortable, but the staff was non-existent or difficult to deal with. Breakfast was not very good. I booked as a Best Western, but it is no longer that, and I understand why.

Checked In around midnight and turned on A/C fell asleep. I awoke hot and sweating A/C did not work. Rooms are not inspected before they rent the room. Front desk person was rude I believe he was manager telling me to leave changed max rate for room. Stay are your own risk. Never never stay here again

Great Staff. Late checking in without any problems. Rooms very comfortable and relaxing. Bed's were very comfortable plus both staff members were bilingual very helpful. Only problem is bathroom door doesn’t shut.
