The Schertz YMCA is an exceptional fitness facility that offers an array of workout options. Additionally, they provide fantastic summer programs for children and a wide range of community and wellness programs suitable for all age groups. I wholeheartedly endorse this location as a top recommendation.

If you are thinking of enrolling your child in the YMCA Day camp don't waste your money. We had a bad experience in El Paso and prior to enrolling my granddaughters I had a long talk with Rachel to make sure we would not have a repeat at this YMCA. I asked if adults or teenagers would be running the program. I was assured it would be run by adults. Some teenagers would be helping but the program would be run by adults. Not so. All I ever saw working their was teenage volunteers and basically they acted like babysitters. Out of 5 hours a day there was a planned activity only 1 hour and 15 minutes a day.The rest of the time was spent in free play or eating. The last day tbe kids begged not to have to go back as they were bored. I did not make them return. Additionally I was told that only the person who registered them could pick them up and we would have to show an id. From day one no one checked my id or cared who was picking them up. This is a huge safety issue. I walked right past the teenagers sitting at a table twice to get my granddaughters and no one said a thing. I did go back and sign them out but could have easily walked out without doing so.Very dissapointed.

My favorite YMCA in San Antonio. Always clean, the people are nice and a good balance of free weights and machines
