I hunt in San Saba and my time there is limited. Shahan is one of two auto part stores in San Saba. When you first walk in, you may think things look very dusty and unorganized. You would be correct. However, the counter staff is very knowledgeable and seem to know where everything is. I went in to get a special spark plug for my ATV. They didn't have it (neither did their competitor) but gave me a cross-reference number. They ordered it and it came in the next day. TIP: They close at noon on Saturday. Shahan is family owned. It's been in San Saba for two generations. One peculiar oddity I noticed is the N in Shahan is backwards on their sign on the building. I don't know why. My guess is it was simply installed incorrectly and never corrected. The dark letters disappear into the facade of the building so I would guess that most people don't even notice. Bottom line - Good customer service. Can get what you need if they don't have it in stock. A little unorganized but they seem to know where everything is located.

They have it or will get it. This is all these men have ever done. They are second generation auto men. They don't have uniforms, sales, waxed floors etc. They have knowledge and the same fixtures your grandfather could have seen. A damn institution as far as auto parts stores.
