I called an made an appointment told them we wanted full highlight with money pieces, and a haircut. We were first told to arrive at noon, then was called again to arrive at 1:30pm. We got there at 1:10m, sat down and immediately the stylist seem like she didn't want to do my daughter's hair. She said picking at her hair. And didn't seem too thrilled. She then took my daughter to the back to wet her hair to start the cut. She stopped said we need to discuss prices. She takes us to the cash register and is discussing with two other ladies and says I'm not gonna have time. My other client doesn't like to wait. Instead of them offering to have someone else do it or work with us. It was I'm not gonna have time. So I drove from Buda and wasted gas for someone to say I don't have time. Got my daughter super excited for her first time at salon only to be super disappointed. This was not the experience I wanted my daughter to have. Resolution, I was able to get in at a salon with no issues. Do better Jcpenney Salon in San Marcos!

I will only go to get my hair done by EGNA!! She is amazing. This woman knows what she’s doing when it comes to hair. She’s the only hair dresser that has been able to beautifully cut my bangs and she cuts your hair exactly to the length you want. So grateful thank you girl ? before and after pics of my hair cut.

I got my hair cut by a stylist here a while back. She had been cutting hair for 10 years, very experienced. Didn't try to upsell me. Overall good experience and a nice haircut, it cost $45. I went back to the same Salon but booked with a different stylist, Nevaeh, because online it showed her prices were cheaper. Nevaeh was less experienced, only cut hair for about a year. She tried to upsell me multiple times, asking if I wanted to add on things I didn't want. When it was time to pay, she charged me an extra fee for having long & thick hair (which is valid, my hair is very long & thick. But the first stylist I went to, never charged a fee for that.) so the price came out to $60. AND she cut my hair very uneven, left side is noticeably longer than the right. (and I have a feeling she knew she did a bad cut because she kept saying, come back if you don't like it). I'm just annoyed I could've got a cheaper and better cut if I went to the First Lady. But instead I got a bad hair cut that was more expensive because the shitty stylist wanted to charge me for my hair type. (I have a feeling she charged me that extra fee just to get more money which is really shitty to do to a person, especially a broke college kid like me). I would've been fine paying the $60 if it was a good hair cut but it wasn't.

I had my hair cut at JCPenney Salon about 3 weeks ago by Jennifer Ruiz. She cut my hair shorter than I requested and I didn't get the style I was looking for. I had to go back a second time to have her fix the haircut. I was still not satisfied. She was rude and made some comments that I didn't appreciate about my hair. She was very unprofessional and didn't care to satisfy a customer. I will not return.

I am giving this a two because my hair did come out great but it was a lot more than what I expected because they added extra add ons I didn’t know about. I was quoted online 165.00 then it jumped to 230.00. When it jumped that high, I figured I would just use a JCPenney’s coupon. Then I was told I could not use a coupon for a master hairstylist, which I did not know JC Pennys, headmaster hairstylist. I thought it only went to senior hairstylist.. when I got home, that’s when I noticed the extra add-ons I was charged for that I didn’t ask for and was not informed that they would be adding on. I’m so disappointed in the lack of communication with their customers and JCPenney should fix her website to show what ranking the hairstylist are at, and their coupons should specifically say, excludes master hairstylists.Service: Haircut

HORRIBLE SERVICE. ***THEY WILL THINK YOU ARE A STEALER!!!****I went to JCPenney to go buy this makeup product. I went into the new beauty section which had NO WORKERS (UNPROFESSIONAL) when I walked in. Anyways, I made my way towards the brand I was looking for. I got there and as I was picking up my product a worker showed up out of the blue and asked me questions to get help, which I appreciated. Well As I waited for my sister to come back and help me they approached me again and said "is this your favorite brand??" I said oh no I'm just picking up a product. They replied and they walked away. As I waited for my sister to come back I was browsing the store and they kept staring at me!! Making me feel like I was stealing or something. I felt so awkward and I would never steal. Once I left a section the girl went over to make sure I didn't steal anything. I'm sure the manager would be happy to know their staff is watching for that, but how freaking rude and obvious you made it! I will not be returning. I miss the old Sephora and staff they use to have . I walked away and cried because I felt so judged for no reason.

I had my hair cut by Katt in mid-October and it was by far the worst haircut I have ever had. I have curly hair so it was hard to tell at the end of the appointment, but after getting home, I noticed that my layers were cut so choppy that it’s embarrassing and there are a few strands of hair in the back of my head that are about 6 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. Weeks later, and I still hate it. I’ve always had my hair cut at JCPenney since I was young, but after this, I will likely never do so again. Such a disappointment and now months of only wearing my hair up out of embarrassment of how poor my haircut looks.Service: Haircut

i have never left a yelp review like ever but felt like this needed to be addressed. went in today with my mom and stopped to look at the jewelry. my mom does not speak english fluently but wanted to try and ask if there was any yellow gold rings with no crystals on them--simple right? it was an older lady was working in the jewelry section and as my mom tried to ask if they had what she was looking for (she was audibly struggling with her english while asking but nonetheless trying to), the lady kept asking her impatiently "yes what are you looking for?" "what are you looking for?" in a totally condescending and unhelpful way. i stepped in and had to speak for my mom cause that was totally not okay. i did the rest of the speaking for my mom while we looked for like 5 minutes until we just left and were both concluded that she was totally rude. before we left i overheard the older lady speaking to her coworker that she was about to get off from her shift so maybe she was just done with the day and had no patience left. nonetheless, this location really needs to teach their employees to have some patience and understanding when it comes to foreign speaking customers. teach y'all's employees to be helpful instead of condescending and impatient.it was incredibly rude for her to speak to my immigrant mother like that, as if she was a stupid child. do better.
