After my not so impressive experience with another H&R block closer to me last year I was hesitant on using H&R block again but decoded to try another branch as I have always had a good experience with H&R Block in 3 different states. I am glad I chose to try the Branck in San Marcos. They were all friendly and pleasant to work with. Susan was able to answer my questions right off the bat and apply it to my Taxes. I will definitely go back next year to them.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in the other day to get my tax return forms for previous years and the receptionist they have by the name of Mary was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I was met with such a rude, disrespectful, agressive, and unprofessional type of animosity that I can only assume comes from being allowed by her employers to behave this way. When I told her what I was here for, she shouted at me that she had no access to that and that there was only one tax professional and she was busy with someone. I asked her how long that would take and she just tells me, "well, we close at eight so who knows". I asked her why she was being so rude and she got even ruder, telling me that when she got rude I would know it. I asked for a manager and she refused to get someone. I left the place and called the number on one of the business cards and that's where she answered and gave her name. I sent an email to the supposed manager and she called me back the next day and she stated that I made a scene and justified Mary's inappropriate, agressive, and unprofessional behavior. She stated that I, a customer, was at fault and Mary did nothing wrong, and wanted to know what she could do for me. I told her that's her response, then she can't do anything for me. There is no way I'm allowing someone like that to handle my tax information if she's allowing such a rude and disrespectful woman to treat customers like that. I'll just end up using another service, like Turbotax probably.
