The management at this specific location is non existent. Specifically in the cashier/customer service checkout /bagging after 7:30 p.m continuously day in and out. The fresh baked tortillas are non existent as well especially after 7pm. What district manager is in charge of this region? Seriously? The inability to have product and witness staff talking in a group of 3. Consistently 3 days in a row. Without any tortillas to purchase. Bakery staff just sitting in the shut down dark while getting nothing done. Talking about coworkers to the point you'd want to ask if they'll ever have tortillas to purchase after 7pm at this location. Or is the 3 person conversing more important than actually working? I shop here nearly semi daily. Witnessing the young staff of incompetent individuals slack. Opposed to contributing to getting product in front of the consumer is pathetic in this day in age. The lack of concern at this location in the bakery and checkout later in the evening is abysmal.

Great selection, but getting gas here was not a pleasant experience. The pricing was very competitive, but it took me almost 10 minutes to fill up my truck due to how slow the pumps were.

Meh food store. Not a huge selection. Pass on the sushi it's dry and flavorless and the roasted chicken is overcooked and dry It's clean but food is sadly displayed

Pharmacy received a prescription at 2pm on a Saturday for Paxlovid - Yes, for COVID. It was confirmed before the script was sent that they had Paxlovid in stock. Tell me why it's 9am the next day, and I've had 0 contact from them? The point of Paxlovid is to get it into your system the first day. Now, thanks to me trusting this pharmacy would fill a prescription in a reasonable time frame, I'm going to feel terrible for the foreseeable future. How lazy can you be?

I've been using the H‑E‑B in Wimberley for three years since our move to the area. I initially tried other stores but 2020 killed that effort. The practices used by the store for its employees and patrons were exemplary. Due to my husband's health, I used Curbside for that year. Great group of people who are supported by the whole store. Now I shop both in the store and Curbside as needed. Friendly and helpful employees. Good quality veggies and fruits. Good quality meats, fish, and products. I wouldn't shop here if it wasn't clean. The managers listen well to compliments and requests. Now, if they would start carrying Rosemary Pimento cheese again, it would be bliss!

Curbside is terrible here. They do not take care of how they pack their items. Multiple glass containers were shoved in one H-E-B bag. It of course ripped through and busted our tile in a brand new home. They were not willing to rectify the situation appropriately, even with picture proof. Save your time and go to H-E-B in New Braunfels or Kyle.

There is never any parking unless you go right when they open. And it's not just during the holidays. I parked across the street and braved crossing Thorpe Lane on foot. I needed one thing. And they were out. I saw one open spot on the way in and two open on the way out. Maybe take an Uber.

Tried the flame grilled chicken, will not make that mistake again. Drier than the Texas sun with no flavor at all. Maybe, they shouldn't sit under the 1,000,000 watt lights for so long after cooking. Like chewing a rawhide dog toy, but a little drier. One would think this place would know a little about cooking.

They wouldn't let me get a covid booster because of my age even though the cdc website says I'm immune compromised. I made an appointment and filled out the information they needed. Waited around all day for the appointment. Get there and it's just like "sorry, we weren't told that condition means you can get the vaccine." Soul crushing experience. And I'm a teacher who's going to be around kids next week. Guess I'll just die.

Had an extremely bizarre and disturbing interaction with the checkout clerk and manager tonight. She was knocking food off the conveyor belt after it had been scanned, continued scanning when the conveyor belt was so backed up, food had nowhere to go but onto the floor. Salsa was knocked off shattering on the floor, she didn't even flinch, she kept scanning, never breaking stride. When asked to please stop scanning she looked up said if anything is damaged you can bring it back tomorrow and deal with it then. I am so confused all I can do at this point is stare in bewilderment at the man frantically trying to clean up the salsa off the floor and probably her shoes. When I asked to speak to the manager, they called over a girl who was a tad bit less abrasive towards my 60-year-old mother and I, but she too, continued scanning, stating they were to busy to worry about damaging items. (Just for reference, damaged products equals higher prices.) In my opinion, it would be well thought out for upper management to take some initiative and try to make this HEB at least a tolerable place to buy groceries. My best advice for anyone stay away or use self check out.

When I first moved to San Marcos in 2014, I enjoyed shopping at this HEB every morning. NOT ANY MORE!!!! First, they made the aisles more narrow to accommodate more beer and wine - if you get 2 baskets in an aisle, you have a bottle neck - worse if there is one of those oversized curbside carts with their rude employees giving you dirty looks for being in their way. Then they moved all the products around, some to very obscure places in the store. They completely closed off the paper goods aisle from the cross aisle connecting all the non-food/pain relievers/ hair products/etc. - so you have to go all the way to the end of the aisle to get around to the paper goods. And speaking of the annoying curbside operation going on inside the store, they dedicated a dozen or more prime parking spaces to curbside only customers. Now every morning, cars are crawling around like ants at a picnic trying to find a decent parking space. I used to say that whenever I go to a Walmart, I leave with 10 reasons to hate it. Now, unfortunately, I have that same feeling every morning when I leave the San Marcos HEB - in short, IT SUCKS!!!
