I've never let anyone other than Monty touch my hair, which means I've been going to him for 30 years! He is meticulously detailed and does a great job every time. I even still drive in from north Austin!

I have been going to Monty for years. He does top quality work and is very attentive to detail. I have gone to other places over the years but each time I wish I had just waited and gone to see Monty. His prices are reasonable, service is impeccable, and the experience is always great. If you want a high quality hair cut at reasonable prices then this is your spot. He has decades of experience and I see him doing many different types of hair including color.

I have had my hair cut by many of the top stylists around Austin for 15 years, and Monte gave me the best haircut I have ever had. Now that I live in SM I will be faithful and even if I move away I will still travel tto him. I have a short cut and I like funky cuts.

Monty & Travis both do an excellent job. I've been going to Calcutta's for haircuts since I moved back to San Marcos in December of 2007. After I graduated from Texas State in 2003 I was recruited and moved to San Antonio and began making enough money to afford a decent haircut. I was recruited back to San Marcos in 2007 and when I needed a haircut I was fortunate enough to get referred by a friend to Calcutta's. I find Calcutta's to offer a high quality haircut and pleasant experience from local business owners. I get a gentleman's or businessman's haircut and it is of the same high quality every time. When I come in to get my haircut I notice that they have a broad diverse customer base with various hairstyles. They have loyal customers and once you try them out, I bet you become one as well. If you want a cheap five minute haircut by name that chain company, this isn't your place. If you want a quality haircut, a pleasant experience, and to support local business go to Calcutta's.
