“I recommend the barbecue they sell is very delicious, it doesn't have a bad taste like in other places, for a pound they give you tortillas with red sauce ? that one is not spicy, and the green one and the other red one are... The Menudo should be sold without grains , as far as I know since I come from a municipality of Guananjuato. The Menudo is grain-free, it's very expensive and they sell you more grains than meat. It's assumed that what they sell is the non-grain-free Menudo. From then on, everything else is good. They have their butcher shop that has their promotions on meat...”

“I always go to Ruben's drive-thru. Their customer service is wonderful I always get a smile and the ladies there even though they don't speak English too well there seem to understand me. I've been going here for about 8 years and I love the customer service. Thank You”

“We are first time winter Texans. We are from Hawai'i. A friend at our resort told us about Vera's King of Meats at E. University. We have been coming here since November '23 and the quality, variety and price of meats can't be beat. The customer service is wonderful! We have been telling others in our resort about Vera's. We are freezing some steaks to take north. We'll see you in October!”

“Always come here for my BBQ needs. Only place tbh lol.
There was this past weekend. Some lady with glasses, I think, was deep digging in her ear with something , put it down, then didn't even wipe their hands, just grabbed my items. It was just gross. That's the only bad experience”

“Went around and most places selling Fajita at 10.49-11.49 a pound... And here At Rubens it was 7.49 a pound. Well worth the trip around. Since it isn't far from my house I'll be coming here from now on.”

“The chicharrón is incredible!! They sell many Mexican things, including different types of tortillas, tostadas, stews, sauces, etc. Maybe the shelves are a little empty but maybe I grabbed them just when they were refilling. Still, the store is very good if what you want is pork rinds with meat or meat in general :D”

“I bought 2 dishes to take away, everything was very delicious, only if you are in a hurry and have time for your lunch you will practically take the dish in a bag, it took me approximately 20 minutes to line up for my turn in front of the counter and choose the food, they should improve the payment system maybe have a special cashier for the food area at least at lunch time, since from the moment I paid I stood in line and people in front of me were buying groceries, that increased the time to 35mn for 2 plates of takeaway food , food that is already made ready to eat.”

“Few food stores have what the hispanic culture call " Pan de Semita" ( Seed Bread). It was light and very tasty for early coffee or the " La merenda" ( afternoon coffee).”
