Robert Dozal is a local El Pasoan and a multi-media, award-winning artist whose portraits and landscapes range from realistic to expressionistic in style. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, Robert retired from teaching with Ysleta Independent School District and is now a full-time artist and the owner of Dozal Fine Art Gallery. He specializes in oil, watercolor, acrylics, pastel, and charcoal, and he has also garnered national recognition for his skills in drawing and painting. Robert's work is based on composition and emphasizes the principles of design. While contemplating new works of art, Robert pulls from content that radiates presence through the lens of life on the border.
