Great work being done by the Store Manager and Team! Anytime I walk into this location, I am always greeted and asked what I need help locating. Drove for 45 mins only to find out they close at 9 not 10. Update the business hours so people dont waste their time.

This is my favorite hardware store in San Diego. They are always awesome and super helpful at finding obscure parts or dealing with odd little hardware or home improvement issues. Today, I went to try and find an Allen screw for a door handle set. Stephanie was super helpful and let me know that the existing Allen screw had just gone in a little further and needed to be pulled out. She fixed my problem and I was on my way. They definitely live up to their slogan "Ace Hardware: The Helpful Place". Thanks to Stephanie!!

I came here to get a new key for my car and was told it would take a few days, ended up taking a few weeks. Once I got my key it ended up not working and getting me locked out of my car, couldn't even start the car either. I came back 12/19 to try and fix the situation and got nothing but attitude from the lady manager. I've clearly been patient with this long key process also paying nearly 200 dollars and not even getting a key that works and instead of working with me, trying to fix the situation and being kind I got attitude and disrespect and was told I couldn't get a key cut there anymore. There was no need to treat customers that way and it should have been handled way differently. Everyone else is really nice though, it's just her.

This Ace Hardware location has got to be my favorite. Am I a little bias because it's so close to me? Maybe but I have actually been to many Ace Hardware locations and this one is just top notch. One there is so much to explore here with multiple floors and I am not the most handy person but there is so much to look at and discover even cute kitchen towels with funny quotes on them. The staff here is amazing. Within seconds of me walking in the door clearly having no idea where to find super glue out of the many isles that there are, someone came right up to me to help and took me directly to where I needed to be and even showed me all of the different options to pick from. They are so helpful at this location I know when I go in for something that it'll be a quick and easy trip because the staff here is the best!

This place always defines what Customer service should be. You can attest to ownership/management because there's never been a time where they were understaffed either. Although they're a chain, this particular store always feels like the local neighborhood hardware store.

Customer service is top notch. I've been going here for years but the last couple of times really inspired me to write this review. Everyone was so helpful and friendly but what really impressed me was Maddie called to tell me my order came in as I was pulling up to the store and she ran it out to my truck out front. It saved me time because I had my toddler with me and with how things are these days I don't see outgoing, friendly, helpful staff often and I'm just really impressed. Thank you because I was happy and it put me in a good mood Hillcrest Ace Hardware is good vibes!

I've been going to the Hillcrest Ace store for many years. The staff is friendly & helpful. Recently I went in to talk about some paint I had purchased earlier in the week. Amanda, the manager, was very helpful & she went out of her way to give me the best customer service. it was a very positive experience. Thanks again, Amanda!

This store is the happiest place on earth. I absolutely love coming here. The staff are genuine and delightful, ready to to help guide you through the store, or help you brainstorm your projects. The product selection is incredible! Every thing you need hardware wise, plus gifts, culinary supplies, outdoor gear, etc! Always looking for a good excuse to come by the Hillcrest Ace Hardware!

Everyone that works here is incredibly nice ! Honestly it's so refreshing , and rare to see that in a store. Everyone here was so helpful. I came in for spray paint and to make copies of my keys. Can't wait to come back for anything else I might need !

Best service ever ! Upon them closing I called For a bolt cutter for I couldn't find the key to an outdoor locker ! I called in panic I said I live close by should be there in 5... it was very close to closing hours and they had them ready to go at the cash stand and it was quick & easy! Aside from this silly story I am always greeted by the friendliest person. Always have the best assistance and overall enjoy shopping here ;)
