Terrific service and great quality meat. Called in to request a special order cut of meat and Matt not only readily agreed to help me out with it but went above and beyond in his care for my order. This is the kind of real butcher shop we used to see much more of back in the day and I hope people notice the difference! Wiatreks earned my repeat business ever since that first visit and thanks to Matt's service I will continue coming here regularly several times a month...and I'll tell anyone who will listen.

I'm real picky about my selection of ground beef and saw they had extra lean 95 lean 5 fat and just had to grab a pound to try it. From now on all my beef will come from this place cause I've been raised on store bought ground beef and noticed that heb ground beef isnt.... all that good anymore? Since I've had this I don't wanna go back to heb or walmart beef

My wife and I have been thinking about trying local meat markets to buy better quality meats since we moved to Texas. Being a Saturday, we wanted to get out of the house and decided to check out Wiatrek's. First impressions, friendly and well staffed location. Went in for some jerky, ended up buying their top quality New York strip, and some 90/10 hamburger. We didn't go too crazy not much room in the freezer. However, we wanted to check out the quality of the meat to see if this will be our new meat source. We are cooking the New York strip tonight and having rhe hamburger a few days from now. I will comment on the New York strip once we cook it up. The prices seem more than fair especially if it lives up to the reviews. Also, it they had adequate cuts of meat to suit buyers selection needs.Okay it's dinner time, and I prepared the steaks by broiling them. Very good taste, texture, and tenderness. Satisfied with the purchase. Will shop there again for my meats and support my local merchants.

Some of the best quality meats you will come across in Texas. They have a selection that will blow your mind. I finally found, kangaroo. After traveling to Australia I’ve been wanting to have it again for a long time now. AND, you haven’t lived until, you’ve had a camel burger. Their boudin is top notch and they may not have the variety of jerky that Buckeys does however, it tastes so much better and doesn’t dry out as easy. Alegator……they got it. Check this place out.

Anytime I go to this establishment for meat, it is always the finest grade. Big fan of their frenched bone in pork chop.

Arrived 3 hours before close and was treated as a hindrance, meat was handled without gloves the entire time of service. This includes the usage of register after handling raw meat products, I asked for two pounds of meat and was told that they do not cut meat up individually. Which is obviously a lie, meat itself was pretty good but not worth the service. Again my main concern is the handling of raw meat, if that is how the products are handled in front of the customers I wonder how it is being handled in the back. Would not recommend. *Edit* Owner responded promptly and politely, will give this location another chance. Thank You Carter

This is a great place when you want to find the meat you're looking for. They have very good prices and even better sales. High quality meat always. They also have a large variety of exotic meats like venison bison boar, so check them out you'll really like them.
