I will never again use otter self storage or any of their facilities. My 20ft trailer was stolen from this location yesterday and dumped on someone elses land. Today I cancelled my agreement and will refrain from doing business with them. Be aware. If you value your possessions I suggest you store them somewhere else. Best of luck.

RUN from this place. I don’t know how they have the reviews they do but I can say without a doubt they aren’t honest. The units were constantly broken into, they asked us to move units multiple times, we could never ever get in the front gate, the customer service was as horrible, and the place is falling apart. We literally had to pickup a broken fence to access a lock box. And each time we went to our storage unit there were MULTIPLE broken into storage units with peoples belongings everywhere. They have no local customer service reps so ANY issue that you have you will have to do over the phone and if they don’t have an answer for you they just hang up. When we told them there were broken into units that were still sitting open with cut locks and cracked door frames, they just said “I know it happens a lot”. The amazing locally owned business that was here before this dumpster fire was fantastic but this is not the same business! Find another storage place if you want any peace and assurance when storing your stuff.

Where do I start....First, I would NOT recommend anyone rent from Otter in San Antonio, Sinclair. The OnLine App process is flawed. No where are you allowed to upload your personal insurance info and THEY WILL Charge you For Their insurance. Its later they will provide an email address to send docs. No reversal/refund once they charged you.....Lesson learned. Second, since this site has no personnel on site, you will not be able to inspect what you will rent....My unit is in a hallway with no working light. Three separate calls on three separate days and still no working light at my unit. It is dark in that hallway...Take a guess as to how long I will be at this site renting from this company?

Had over $2,000 worth of items I bought throughout North America in unit #351, It was all stolen within a month of having the unit. This was definitely an inside job. Not even a month later I get another call saying several units were broken in to luckily I had already took’n out my bench press which the thieves didn’t take lol. I had insurance so I basically got my money back but some items we’re not replaceable. Just avoid this place cuz clearly the Canadian owners aren’t really putting any well funded money into this place.? Farewell

Horrible horrible horrible! Since Otter Self Storage became the new owners I have had nothing but issues! Particularly the facility on Sinclair. I have not been able to access my units for two weeks due to the gate repair issues. And now the break in has caused another delay where they are not allowing anyone in even 24 hours later. And we don’t even know if our units were broken into yet. We have to wait another 48 hours to find this out. This what happens when you have a contactless type of business. It doesn’t work everywhere! No security on site ever!

Since they changed owners, service quality has dropped to 0, security dropped to -10 and price hiked up. They don't even clean the place or have toilet paper in the restroom anymore.

Called inquiring about a 10×10 unit to rent, told her I'd be about 5 minutes, took me 10 minutes, but by that time her lunch arrived and she doesn't eat cold food. Needless to say, she lost a customer. As a manager of any business you have to make sacrifices sometimes to keep a customer happy, business 101.

I've been a customer for over 10 years and I have no complaints. They added more lights so it's even brighter. I would recommend them to anyone. I only wish they would stop raising the prices. But they're still the cheapest storage rental in town.
