Won’t respond to emails or text messages. How do places stay in business that don’t communicate with potential customers. Sent 2 emails and one text. No response. I guess when you’re the only auction house in town, you can pick and choose. Won’t be bothering this place anymore. I’m sure someone will have a half baked excuse, they always do.

Beware if you ask to be called to bid they might skip you. Just happened to us today and we missed a lot we liked however the company took corrective steps and we ended up getting the lot.
3/24 we requested multiple call backs, associate did not call back or call back too late. Basically waster our day.

I took my 20yr old Friedman Brothers Convex Mirror back in December 2023. For Auction in Jan 1,2024. Decided to withdraw my mirror from Auction. I believed they started the estimate to low/ they lost an original paper that was left with them when I took the mirror, they responded by telling me it probably went in the trash(now I just have a copy of that paper that Ms.Kim mailed out to me at my request) Thank you Ms. Kim.I would have preferred the original that I left with them. And the last thing to find out the measurements of my mirror were way off. I'm happy I made the right decision by with drawing my mirror.May you have a blessed day. Sincerely Ms. Atkinson

This is the best auction house in the city. They have the quality and quantity. They have an easy setup to register and participate in the auctions. When picking up items, it is easy too. The people are nice and polite. I've never felt intimidated here to participate in their auctions. They also have preview days. You can see and inspect items you are interested in. You can actually touch the items, including jewelry.

Great products and good auction platform. Backoffice is horrible. It usually takes a week to receive a correct invoice and 2-3 weeks for shipment. The entire process should take 7-10 days. I continue to use them because they have good stuff, but holy smokes the backoffice is terrible. As long as you have a month to wait for your item, they are aces...

I was a seller. They held onto my coins for many months. They didn't promote it, they didn't let prebidding happen. I was told it would be 3 separate lots. When the auction finally did happen, they condensed my lots into 2. They sold the 1 gold coin on its own, and everything else in the second lot. The gold coin went well below the melt value. Not to mention the errors the coin had. The coin guy said he just stuck them in there without notice. He just wanted to sell them. And i left them some silver tie tacs for the next auction. I have yet to receive any money from them. I will never ever do business with them again.

I am absolutely livid and frustrated with Vogt Auctions. I placed a bid on AuctionZip (Invaluable) which is one of the online platforms Vogt uses for their auctions. I was approved and placed a bid on an item over a week and a half prior to the auction. During the auction, my bid was passed over and unable to bid live via AuctionZip. I had the high/winning bid by $150 compared to the person who ended up winning the auction using LiveAuctioneers as their platform. I confirmed this with the live feed of the auction on YouTube, as well as talking directly to the owners of Vogt. If a platform is deemed to not work, why are they using this platform???? I have been looking for this very specific item that came up for auction for more than 4 years and was willing to pay good money for it. I rightfully should have won but neither Vogt or AuctionZip (Invaluable) can or will do anything for me. I am left out to dry for something I should have rightfully won. I sold items that I can no longer get back to ensure I had the money for this specific lot. I passed over other lots in the auction to ensure I was able to keep bidding on the specific lot. I am furious with Vogt and AuctionZip (Invaluable) for this injustice. I have screenshots and video proving that I was the high bidder and should have won. But the owner of Vogt said there's nothing he can do for me. It's safe to say they have lost my business. I understand that this is not all Vogt's fault, as AuctionZip was the main point of failure, but the fact that they use this platform will continue to use it is absolutely wrong. I have witnessed many auction houses stop live bidding to ensure their online platforms are synched and working correctly, however this was clearly not done with Vogt. An absolute embarrassment of an auction house!

I spent over $6K at a recent auction and a large part of it was because they said they ship. It's a real hassle for someone out of town to hire a packaging store to pick, pack and send from an auction house and I bid (and won) with some abandon because I knew they'd be shipping. I paid my invoice immediately and requested a shipping quote as instructed. "If you require shipping, we offer an in-house nationwide shipping service. To obtain a quote, please call our office". I was then told it was too big and they didn't want to ship. I complained and then they said they were too busy. Guess what? Now I'm too busy to deal and wouldn't consider an auction from them again.

I've been to the Vogt Auction house twice now, once for fine art and another for the recent (August 2023) Hecho en Mexico auction. They get in beautiful pieces, many of amazing quality. The pieces are on display for about a week before the auction so there is a good opportunity to see what is to be auctioned in advance. Every person in the place, including the guys in the warehouse seems to have an extraordinary knowledge of the arts. There are many content specialists that cover the gamut of their sales, including fine arts, folk arts, furniture, guns, jewelry and even oddities such as Samurai warrior costumes, giant pineapple sculptures, well known artists and obscure ones. In these auctions "everything goes" and they mean it....if there is someone there (or online) that is breathing and can raise their card, the item will sell. Interesting things happen in such a place!
The auction itself is really entertaining. The owner, Gene Vogt is there for a few hours, and he is so funny it would be worthwhile to go just to hear what he will say. His son, Rob Vogt is the auctioneer and he gets in on the humor with his father....good naturedly parrying his father's jokes while the auction goes on. It is a family business and I gather the whole family is involved and show up for the auction. Rob is not a scary auctioneer...he makes it easy to get involved and to make bids....although once he says "sold" it is final.
The people are very helpful and efficient and helped me get my purchases in my car and were very accurate in getting the correct lots for me. Everyone is respectful, helpful and give the best customer service experience I've had in a long time.

I recently acquired two JJ Audubon prints and was curious if they were original lithographs or prints and was interested in auctioning them as well. I came in and spoke with the art appraiser and even though mine are not originals or valuable for that matter they still treated me with respect and were very welcoming to the auction house. I had a great experience and I even looked around a bit and saw some amazing furniture, firearms and cool antique collectibles. I would recommend Vogt auction galleries.

Beautiful furniture & curios. You could get lost in the large selection. My favorite items were the paintings. Great artwork in a variety of styles.
