Worst Vet experience ever.
From them weighing her wrong and getting it wrong by 13 pounds to belittling me in front of my husband- and whichever vet and tech took care of my dog need to find a new line of work. I don't even know the Vets name because she never introduced herself. She just decided to come in the room with attitude and give me a 10 min lecture about proper voice commands to give my dog and tell me "We may talk to our children this way, but not animals"(I was petting my dog and trying to calm her because she was terrified). My dog needed an allergy shot and she was apparently "awful" and the vet said "I don't trust her". Even though she never once barked, growled or bit. She was just cowering because she was scared. I even told them beforehand that she's not used to people and she doesn't go anywhere without me so she's scared. She listened to all MY commands and responded appropriately when I directed her. She was just absolutely terrified of the number of techs and the vet coming at her from every direction. I was a dog trainer for seeing eye dogs, so I know a thing or two about training dogs but apparently this Vet felt I needed to be talked to like a child at nauseum. Charged over $200 for an allergy shot and not given one word about a follow up or anything. The vet and tech didn't even check her physically. They literally never touched her until it was time to hold her to give her a shot (I'm the one whole held her by the way and a tech pet her while the Doctor administered the shot).
We've been here a handful of times before and have never experienced this specific staff working so hopefully if we ever need to go again, we won't have the misfortune of getting them.
What an absolute joke and a solid way to make my dog traumatized from your lack of compassion and understanding of animals.

I appreciate Dr. Oesterling and Ashley taking care of my pup today. They both ensured I had no questions and helped me to understand the treatment plan for my fur baby today.

We went in for an illness visit. The front desk was very welcoming, and then our tech sezen was very welcome when she took us to the back to a room.she was very nice with my French bulldog kitana and showed empathy and concern. We did have to wait 2 hours to see the Veterinarian but that’s due to us coming in early. Our appt was at 3pm but I called to see if we could come earlier, they said to come in at 1pm, and that we would possibly have to wait a little and we ended up still waiting until 3pm to see the doctor. Dr. Sung Jin Cho was very knowledgeable and professional. He handled my pet with care and gave a good explanation of what was wrong with my baby. It was an overall great experience. I only gave 4 stars because of the wait. I understand that there were other pets who possibly needed to be seen first, I just wish they wouldn’t have told us to come in earlier if we weren’t gonna be seen until our normal appointment time.

Vetco was great with our dog Orie!! She came in really dehydrated and had masses on her neck. They rehydrated her and drained the mass, she came home 100% better and happy! I would recommend Vetco to anyone who needs pet assistance and guidance! Their bedside manner is excellent! Thank you!!

My husband and I just took our dog to vetco . He’s a 13 year old beagle. He gets stressed at the vet and breathes hard. Well, we took him in for a large boil on his paw, and Dr Pruski recommended euthanasia. She started off by asking us if a growth on his neck was concerning. My husband has been taking his dog to Petco for roughly 7 years and he has never encountered a vet with so little compassion. Neither have I. He is old, but he’s drinking water, eating and going regularly. We will not be going back to Petco. I’m still in shock.

first want to say the vet tech that helped us christina was SO helpful they truly went above and beyond for my pancake. We had accidentally booked a wellness appointment instead of a sick one (website didn't give an option for sick just asking for a reason) this definitely was an oversight on our part. when meeting with Dr Pruski they took the first opportunity to mention this more than once before anything else and asked if I had done this because no sick appointments were available. We had already put ourself on the waitlist for becker animal hospital and would have waited if we'd received a call from vetco saying they couldn't take us. The total time we had with the Dr was a little over 5 minutes and they had multiple appointment slots available when we booked.

Great vet for pets, prices are very reasonable and every employee I’ve met during my visits has been polite and friendly. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen for appointments, most visits we are immediately taken into an exam room and seen right away. There’s still a slight mixup with two of our cats records but it will get worked out, the friendliness of employees make up for that mixup.

Took my pup because he was limping . Told the tech what happened and she left to tell the vet. She came back and said there might be a chance he will need surgery and it $400 and said if I would still like to proceed if needed and I said yes. Then the tech came back saying he does need it and the vet never came in and saw my pup. Seemed like if I wasn't wanting to get the X-ray she wouldn't even have came in to the room and she still didn't even come in only till it was time to take him for the x rays. If it was too much of a hassle for her to spend 5 minutes with her patient maybe it's time for her to retire.

Our pet family has maintained a membership at the San Antonio-Bandera location for four years. The team has consistently been professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place to all pet-parents! Top notch quality all around 😀

We had a positive experience during our first visit with the vet. However, the estimated cost of dental work was too high, especially for my dad's older dog. Due to budget constraints, we decided not to proceed, even though the veterinarian provided us with well-informed advice.
