This little bookstore at The Pearl is super cute and has a surprisingly good selection of books. The pricing is equivalent to any other major bookstore chain and I love the variety of hand puppets they have in the children's area. The staff is nice and helpful. I also love the candles that they sell here too!

We got looked down at and the cashier followed us with her eyes. We were told to leave the drink at the counter. Heck no !We came in from Houston for the weekend. Definitely didn’t feel welcomed. Probably not going back. Btw it was around 2:30PM- you never know who’s going to come in to the store.

I called The Twig for help putting together a birthday gift package for my mother who lives in San Antonio (I do not). The staff member, Reign, went above and beyond even doing a video call to show me all the wonderful things in the store. She assembled a beautiful gift package to celebrate my mom and I look forward to thanking them in person when I am next in San Antonio. So grateful for bookstores like The Twig and the fabulous people who run them.

I love The Twig. I go there every chance I get, and I order books for pickup and delivery from their website. 10 out of 5 stars!

The Twig Book Shop is a readers dream come true! This amazing bookstore is located next to Bakery Lorraine at The Pearl. They have two entrances, one across from the lawn/water fountain, and another by Cured restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed by all the amazing colors from book covers, as well as some other items that could be great gifts. I always try to find spanish (or bilingual) books for my son to read, which believe it or not can be a very hard thing to find in San Antonio. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a small but mighty selection of spanish books for children. After giving my son a couple options to choose from, he selected two that he loved and made the purchase. Visiting The Twig Book Shop reminded me why buying books in person is so much more special than online. To be able to see them, feel them, and make memories with your family while shopping for books is so much more special.

funny how even in the reddest state in america people get bent out of shape with one tiny little bookstore that doesn't pander to the Trumps. this place is super cool and has an excellent collection of all kinds of authors. If you are being truthful, the section of overtly non-trumpian viewpoints is small. But If you don't like it, please keep walking, no one will notice. but please don't slam a local business for your own ego boost.

The store itself was very nice, but the customer service was… something else. As I was checking out, about 30 minutes ago, I watched as a cashier asked the individual in front of me if they were a teacher, probably based on his purchase of a small pile of children’s books. Her coworker interrupted her to ask why she didn’t feel the need to ID a teacher in order to provide a teacher’s discount, then proceeded to say that she always asked to see a military ID when a veteran’s discount is requested. She clearly made her coworker and the teacher in question very uncomfortable, and the teacher even tried to say that he didn’t need the discount and would be fine without it. I checked out with her not long after that and I can’t describe my exchange with her as much better. I didn’t catch her name, and I normally don’t leave reviews, but I wasn’t comfortable just forgetting the exchange either.

Looking for well curated anti republican books or leftest indoctrination books this is the place to go! This is the type of place that can only handle one point of view. Finally found the place where Trump lives rent free. They did have some Christmas books for the kids. Prices were a bit high and selection was lacking to say the least.

I haven’t visited this bookstore in a while but it’s still just as small and cute as it was before. I went on Sunday and a lot of the customers were having a good time so it gave it a really nice vibe. They have a good selection of books from fiction to manga and more.

When we showed up, the store was packed with folks looking at books, knickknacks and more. There was a farmers market in the open area outside, and that was clearly stimulating the business! Even with the crowd, we were able to check out quickly. The shop itself had about 1/4 of its space devoted to children. It had a fairly large board book selection for the size of the store. That’s the only section I shopped, but i did notice an entire area dedicated to Texas. I would be interested in going back during a lull to shop more of the store.

There's something incredible about small book shops in crowded markets. Loved it, this shop has the best feels, and unique books! Not your standard- NY Times best sellers. Local writers and all sorts. Kids books too!! Loved it!

This is a tiny bookstore in The Pearl with reasonable hours. They have a big kid section, lots of knickknacks, cute gift cards, Pearl merch, and a small selection of every category. I like that no one bugs me or follows me around the store. This isn't a fun place to visit during the weekends because you can barely move, but if you can visit during their quiet hours it's really nice to take your time looking at everything. They are always having authors visit so keep an eye out for that. They are excellent at carrying local authors.
