While I met lifelong friends, and had a fantastic social experience living here, I would not recommend living at this complex. Management and ownership is unreliable, unhelpful and very slow to respond majority of the time. I had a shower that was that of a TRICKLE for the entirety of a year and a half I lived there. I am not exaggerating, and anyone I showed was appalled that the shower pressure I had was real. It was absolutely not up to proper living conditions. They only fixed the shower in the last month before I moved out. Additionally, my AC/heating unit had gone out, and I was never offered rent off of my monthly dues until I forcefully continued to press for assistance, and provided a small, very outdated space heater to provide heat for 2 months of no working unit. They often would not fix things in a timely manner, as suggested above, and did not provide any security measures around the property. This place is in a high traffic area, where a lot of crime and activity is plausible to happen. There are multiple occasions where I heard gunshots outside of the unit. The building has easy access for anyone to come onto the property, and they would. We had unwanted visitors often, and I also had my bikes stolen. Although I never personally had any issue with the homeless who live around the area, tenants should be aware that you will see plenty of homeless activity. There were no security cameras, other than a camera put up by a tenant herself, to monitor activity around the area. There is only street parking, so there is no guarantee that you will be able to have a good parking spot, nor coverage for your car when it inevitably hails. The area itself is loud. With a bar right across the street, the bass will echo and you will hear the noise for hours. The building is not insulated well whatsoever. You can hear your neighbors have conversations, sneeze, cook, etc. There is a nice dog park across the street now, but that brings more traffic, and would highly recommend you take extreme caution at the intersection of Alamo and Jones as there were multiple accidents at that intersection while I was living there. There are no amenities associated with this property, so you are paying for just the rent and nothing else with this unit. Kitchen space is that suited for a mouse, so if you enjoy cooking, you will suffer. If you haven't discovered by now, I really don't recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a long term stay.
