Yes, they deserve five stars. My mother has been a loyal, Jc penney salon customer since day one of opening. She turned 100 back in May and it’s not always getting around with her walker so easily and would like to shop at all the SA stores BUT only (the Rim) has a WHEELCHAIR available just in case she gets a little tired and needs a ride to the front of the store to check out her items.

I recommend Jasmine. She really pays attention to what you want and your hair type and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in long time.

Let's start out with I have very long thick hair Dariela was more than excited to do my hair. I was lifting red and she managed to cover it with blue so my hair could be the color I wanted. I booked a dimensional color at 5 p.m. I know that it was a bit late and that the process would take a good amount of time but as it let me make the appointment I figured they were equipped to handle it. Instead, I walk in and the stylist glares at me then asked me if I had an appointment. When I told her my name she loudly started going on about how it's 5 and she leaves at 6 so there's no way she's touching my hair and how I shouldn't have made the appointment. She proceeds to lay into me for about 5 minutes about why I was in the wrong and she won't bother doing my hair. At this point I didn't want her anywhere near my hair and asked if another stylist was available. She laughed and said no that the other girls were doing color and highlights that were booked hours earlier and that unless I reschedule for a "reasonable" time tomorrow, she won't bother talking to me any longer.

The photo session was crowded, JC Penney studio was understaffed and it was evident the 2 employees were overwhelmed; an event to create pleasant memories for families turned into an stressful and rushed event. We will look for better alternatives next time

I booked an appointment for partial highlights and to get a ton of hair cut off .When I first got there they don't me my stylist didn't speak English and I really didn't care as long as she is good .Well turns out Maria was fantastic ... She took her time and did an excellent job .I was very pleased with the service all around and will definitely go back .Oh and I forgot there were plenty of people to translate for maria and I , so we did have communication ?

There were 4-5 employees and only one actually working and they said they couldn't do walking because of covid policy. When we got done shopping ( also a subpar experience at JCPennys) I looked and not a single customer in the salon but plenty of employees talking it up. Sad to see this store has become a glorified walmart. Do Not waste time and gas to travel to them.

**ONLY RATING 1 STAR BECAUSE I HAVE TO RATE SOMETHING*** Would not recommended this salon to anyone!!! LISTEN TO THE WRITTEN REVIEWS. I read one where they cancel just before your appointment time and thought "oh no way it will happen to me" BUT SURE ENOUGH I'm on my way into the store parking lot and I get a call 15 minutes BEFORE MY SCHEDULED APPT saying the stylist was completely booked or overbooked and that she wouldn't be able to see me today. So I asked what she wanted me to do because I had already scheduled it when they said they had available stylists. She said the stylist that was in was also booked so..... I was not able to get seen for MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. This is really bad for business considering there are high-end salons across the street in the same shopping center that offer the same services for around the same prices!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE.

I am having a Birthday this week and also been through alot with just losing my husband recently. My sisters wanted to give me a gift and cheer me up but I now feel like S*** AND LOOK LIKE A MAN. THE WORST . THE HAIRSTYLES HAD 40years experience I was told but I didn't look like she had any experience. I show her a picture to give her a idea and also let her know not to go to short. Then she said to me I cut right at your shoulder because when you get more layers your hair gets shorter. My hair cut is not shoulder length,It's AT THE NECK. I paid $120plus my sister gave her a tip .Now that made me MAD. I am going to have a picture taken of me also and I am going to have to cancel. Living a NIGHTMARE AND MY LITTLE DOG DIDN'T KNOW ME. I JUST PRAY IT GROWS BACK REAL FAST NEVER HAD Hair this short. I look like a MAN. Happy BIRTHDAY TO ME. NIGHTMARE!!! Post MY HAIR LOOK LIKE THIS AND NOW I LOOK LIKE A MAN. Took over 5 hrs to get perm. Stylist forgot to put cotton in my ears during the process. She saw two other clients besides me which created other problems. She left me for an hour without notice once. I became dehydrated. No water to drink. Lastly was sprayed with something with a strong chemical hairspray which made it hard to breathe. I smelled it for 24 hours it made my hair very stiff.

Took my 4 year old grandson to get a haircut. I asked the gentleman if he would leave the top same length and taper the sides. I was not happy with the cut, it looked like a bowl had been placed on my grandson's head and cut around that!I called and asked if I could take him back and have the cut blended. The gentleman said I didn't specify. I asked again if I could take him back and get it blended. The gentleman said if he blended it he would have to cut it all off. The rudeness was uncalled for. The only reason I rated them a two is because the other staff were really nice.
