I want to thank Dr. Mixon and his staff for taking care of all my fur babies over the years. The staff has always been very professional, thoughtful, shows patience and empathy with their patients and pet owners. Thanks for being there for the best and hard times.

First time here.
I took my simase cat Lulu in for an urgent same day appointment.
Called at 8am was able to get a 915am appointment a few weeks ago.
I was very pleased with the office, it didn't smell like other vet clinics.
The staff amazing and very friendly. The Veterinarian was amazing, very friendly. Explained everything.
Ms. Lulu had a UTI.
Two shots were given. They even called to see how Lulu was doing.
The price was not bad, for an urgent same day appointment.
North star is double the price.
I will be taking my fur babies here from now on.
It's close to my house and affordable.

This is a great hospital I trust Dr. Mixon he's done surgery on my pets before. (Dr Mixon I would advise recording your receptionists/office calls for quality and service purposes, if I didn't know you personally I would write your office off because your new receptionist has alot of attitude, very condescending and rude... at least tell them your recording cuz that was ridiculous, I was calling about a puppy that was dying and I felt completely pushed aside... Shane wasn't my favorite person but she would never speak to ppl like that... it's not what she said it's how. Sorry to tell you here but I couldn't get a msg to you otherwise)

A great experience that turned my girl's failing health around quickly. Dr Mixxon came as a reference and I couldn't be more pleased by the staff's attention and care. She is healthy and in full puppy mode now! ??

So I recently moved from San Antonio to Edinburg, TX for school. While I was in San Antonio, Texas Vet Hospitals in Castle Hills was my main vet. I'm sooooo glad I chose them. I could always be confident that my pets would be taken care of the first time I took them. I was never given the run around and I was never charged random fees. They were always up front about the care they were providing and were more than happy to explain the care in detail. I also have to give a huge shout out to Dr. Mixon--he was so friendly, always professional, and was very knowledgeable. I also loved their receptionist, Tiffany, because she is so down to Earth. Had a lot of cool conversations with her. Anyway, thank you guys for being wonderful. I wish I could've taken you with me to Edinburg.

Experience was disappointing, the staff (vet, and receptionists clerk) was not helpful, or willing to help under or show any empathy the circumstances.
We’re PCSing our entire family cross country (NC to CA) in a very short time frame, right after my husband leaves internationally with our cat on orders. We obviously don’t have a lot of options for vets while traveling. And all we wanted/needed was help and understanding in our time of need.
Every office/state has different “policies” but if another office in SA can make efforts to go above and beyond with the same state requirements to help in a time of urgency….then so can this office. This office could learn a thing or two on that.

Both Dr. Mixon and the Vet tech Alex were awesome! They genuinely care about your pets and they gave me hope when it was needed. Alex went out of his way to comfort me during a stressful and scary situation with my dog, and even went outside after my appointment was over to give me extra information! They have flexible pricing as well.

Very kind and caring a little bit pricey but worth every penny ! They took care of my cat with cancer and were there when we had to unfortunately let her go, Dr Mixon and his team did an amazing job at explaining everything along the way and didn't rush us when it was time to decide if euthanasia was the best option. My cat had all the love,care, and respect she deserved in her final moments. Thank you so much for being there and making a hard decision a little bit easier for us! Thank you for always making room for us when We had an emergency.
