I loaded up an entire cart full of clothes to try on, only to discover that they don't have fitting rooms.

Decent bargains but when customers come across an item they like and it has a price tag " attached" that scans something else, the cashier takes it away from you. Ask to speak with manager, and apparently they are only allowed to unlock/lock the store, count money, oversee employees
They explained that the item (s) cannot be sold because, " no one from purchasing is here during the weekend".
Either they should utilize an employee to painstakingly go through every single item in their store, take the items without tags attached, checking the rest, so customers won't get disappointed to start with.
On several occasions over the past 8 months this happens, some customers treated like criminals and told, not asked, to leave
Go to ANY other thrift store!!!!!
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE ( S Flores @S E Military Dr)

The workers bust their bums. Management seems to be lacking within every visit. Employees mostly rely on each other. Good selection on clothing and miscellaneous. Furniture is hit or miss. Majority of the time it's over priced. Mostly go for clothing and miscellaneous. Good selection on movies, and toys as well.

Absolutely can't beat when they offer half on certain holidays. The shoe selection and sections are consistently extensive and well stocked for women's,kids and mens shoes. A fair amount of shoes with orig tags often offered at well below a new shoe price so you can afford an new name brand at a well a fraction of the price of new. For a hundred bucks I was able to buy 8 pairs of shoes 4 new including an awesome pair of new Vans and SAs shoes as well as an expensive pair of rain boots that were new with tags, 13 pairs of short -lots of Old Navy with tags and 10 shirts some, including name brands, like Tommy, Izod and Polo. More than a few were new with tags and all at half price today. Got my summer wardrobe refresh all for under 100!!

I've been coming here for years and I love it. Their toy section often has some gems! Some of my daughter's favorite toys when she was younger came from here. The staff are usually very friendly. The store is always clean. The book section is huge with amazing prices. This place is a Southside treasure.

Y’all, this place is WILD!!!! I finally got a big girl job (!!!) and I needed some clothes and some office supplies for my home office in my new apartment. The lady living above me came downstairs while I was feeding some stray kitties and she had on this GORGEOUS pink dress. I had to ask where she got it and she thanked me and said she got it at Texas Thrift, which I hadn’t been to since I moved into town. I had my husband take me to Texas Thrift and it was GIGANTIC!!! There were so many amazing items inside. I couldn’t afford to shop at malls growing up, so I have been going to Goodwill for as long as I can remember so I could experience going to a store and picking up anything that sparked joy and buying it. This place was incredible!!! I was able to get some extremely needed office supplies and giant t-shirts for sleeping. I took a photo of this adorable sign that was there so I could paint that message to myself, but before I left, I found a brand-new wellness journal, which I bought without hesitation, because those cost a lot of money normally. I flipped through it and it was empty, so I bought it and went home. When I got home, I wasn’t having a good mental time, so I went to open my new wellness journal and the front cover, which said who the journal belonged to, had a name already written. It said, “Steven”. I had my very first pet, a hedgehog named Steve, pass recently. It was very upsetting and I still am working on getting over it, but this journal I picked up from a store I had never been in before said it belonged to Steven, which I called him on a couple occasions as his “government name”. I sat on the floor and cried tears of joy that my little dude on the Rainbow Bridge was looking out for me from beyond. I love you, Steven. Please go to this store and get some things that spark joy.

It's supposed to be a second-hand store and it should be cheap but the shoes are overpriced and the prices are ugly. The truth is, if you see high prices on the shoes, don't buy them, they give you the same price as the new ones.

Used to get excited to check this place out, yet over the past few months, very infrequently do I find reasonable prices on items. But lately... Oooh lately... $299 price tag for a used, untested, PS3 Slim- just the console. The fuuuuh? Even when these overpriced items go on sale for %50 off they won't balance out to meet eBay prices. Who ever is pricing, please wipe the dollar signs out'cher eyes and price things realistically. "High quality items at rock bottom prices." Lolol
2 stars cause a handful of associates are friendly.

Many of the staff are rude, not helpful and act like they don't understand you. Not understanding is one thing, but go get somebody else who can help. They have dressing rooms, but not open to the public, which you are taking a chance and have to come all the way back if it doesn't fit. I'm only posting because I've ran across the lack of professionalism once too often here; and yes it's a thrift store, but we are paying our money also. Some of us have no other options of where to shop, but we deserve respect too. It used to be that thrift stores were mostly being utilozed by those in need; but now it's all those who have money, coming in and buying up stuff to sell, so the regular shoppers are having to pay for that; in prices going up, lack of customer service, etc.

Bought a stand up kitty mirror for 7.99. it was dirty and the stand was loose. Went home and put some super glue on it, and cleaned it up. All was fine until I saw the same exact item at 5 and below. So I over paid and had to fix it myself. As a thrift store, this is not helping the community. Never going back.

Prices are Expensive! Vases that are from dollar tree are $4.99 or 8.99. I saw a nice vase for $25+! Felt more like an antique store prices. Ha. A pot with scratches in it, obviously old and used was $12.99. Might as well get a new one. $12.99 photo albums, and some Bowl was $24.99. Shoe prices are somewhat okay. But some shoes aren't worth $10 if they're torn or has been worn out at the bottom. Probably best for clothes. Some pricey, some okay. There was a $2.99 yarn. Basically, too pricey for donated items. For these prices, they should have rewards or pay their employees well.

Almost got scammed on a torque wrench, Harbor Freight had the same make and model for $12, thrift store wanted $20. I asked for a better price on some scratched games, and manager wouldn't budge. Defending the price tag as if the money is coming from their personal pocket. Please do not donate here. Take your stuff to goodwill. They even denied the sale of a doll to a little girl. The whole point of donations is to occupy and give people jobs, which in turn help out the community, thus improving the local economy. They are taking the consumers for granted. Whoever is in charge is disconnected from reality.
