A really beautiful reside center that you don't know what treasure you'll find. So many beautiful things to find and learn to reuse, you just have to take your time.

This place is a crafting dream! They had everything from scrapbook stuff to crochet thread to fabric, books galore to teach you how to do it all. I'll definitely be stopping here again when I'm in San Antonio.

Need a tiny bit of paint but don’t want to buy a whole tube? How about some magazines to cut up and collage? Looking for gift wrap, yarn, or scrapbooking stuff but don’t want to pay outrageous prices at the big craft stores?? Then Spare Parts is the place for you! They have everything you could need, all gently used and donated, for affordable crafting! This shop is the perfect place to go for that one paintbrush you need but don’t want to buy a whole set to get or for a used sewing machine when you want to start a new hobby but don’t want to pay out the ear. Love love love. You never know what you’re going to find!

This is a wonderful nonprofit that sells second hand art, craft, office, and party supplies. They run off of donations and volunteers, so if you have either, check them out!

A wonderful place where there are tons of gently used items for purchase, that are donated by the community. I had the opportunity to look around this weekend after I donated. I was assisted by a very helpful employee/volunteer who was manning the front register and tending to the entire store. She had an infectious positive attitude and was attentive to all customers!

a friend recommended this place or i'd likely have never known about it - even though i drive by its location almost daily!its a non profit whose goal is to keep crafting supplies among other things out of landfills & get them into the hands of artists and crafters.they have all types of items: yarn, vintage patterns, fabrics, office supplies, scrapbook supplies, paint supplies, kids crafts, teacher supplies, jewelry making parts and arts & craft books galore. TONS of great bits & pieces for your crafting, mixed media or altered projects - and all ORGANIZED & more than reasonably priced!i enjoyed finding and loading up a basket with some new treasures.hours are limited, id suggest calling ahead.

I love this place! Easy to donate crafting supplies, and always a really interesting inventory. Great for if you want to ethically donate your unwanted or gently used crafting supplies, and for getting new crafting materials on a budget.

It's "Spare pARTS!" This is the best arts and crafts store ever! Their goal here is to keep things going, reused, recycled, upcycled, and kept out of the landfill. They keep a running tally on how much waste they've kept out of the dump, and it's equivalent to several elephants' worth of waste so far! This place sells so much stuff that's been lovingly saved and repackaged or cleaned up and ready for use! If you have a creative streak, this is a wonderful place to go. It's so much better than the big box stores, since the inventory is changing all the time with new donations. They keep things fresh around here. The prices are quite reasonable too! Since you're not paying some shareholder dividends on the company stock, or some CEO's fat bonus for another yacht, and everything they sell was a donation, this place keeps it truly local. All their inventory is 100% locally donated materials. I came in and found a small stained glass window, a bunch of rubber stamps, postcards, stickers, stencils, and prize medals all for under a Hamilton! They sell all kinds of cool things that Michaels or Hobby Lobby would never sell, like old photos or postcards. The staff seems to be mostly or all volunteers. They have a volunteer area in the back where they fix up the donations, and do some crafty things of their own, which is fun to eavesdrop on. The staff has been friendly. The prices are all clearly marked and the merchandise is generally in good condition. The store is clean and well lit. Spare pARTS is located in a small strip shopping center with a few other artsy, creative kinds of spaces in the near proximity. Parking is easy with a dedicated lot for the strip center and plenty of spaces. If you need arts and crafts supplies, this is the spot! If you're an educator, this should be a favorite place. No place is better in San Antonio for small arts and crafts projects!

This is a great "go-to" for teachers and crafters. There is a wide variety of items very, very reasonably priced that can be used in so many ways. The inventory is always changing based upon the generous donations of community members. This place is worth checking out!

Great place to shop for used arts an crafts, I went for the fist time and I love it! Place is small so there is a limit of people in the store, but I didn't mind waiting in line. Very clean and organized, staff is very nice an helpful. The prices are perfect a steal. I paid $27 and walked out with two full bags, I got a little of everything. Check it out.

Wow!!! What great deals for the crafter!!! It looks like a craft thrift store, but they are really garage sale prices (25 cents, 50 cents!)for most everything & the sidewalk sale with tons of nice yarn, notebook paper, fine art pictures, a nice easel were all name your own price!!! Wowsers! Here are some pics of cool stuff they had while I was shopping; nice pieces of leather, bolts of fabric, tons of brand new crayons for 25 cents a bag, really nice wool fabric. They were also chock full of tools like knitting and crochet needles, sewing thread, tons of craft books, large new stencils still in their wrapping! It was also smorgasborg of beads although that isn’t my thing. Do your wallet a favor and check them out.
