I was referred to South Texas Ophthalmology by my vet in Austin to look at a mass growing on my dog’s eye. Dr. Greller was great. He was able to remove the mass on my dog’s eye the same day of my initial appointment. He spent time explaining the diagnosis and going over my options for how to proceed. He was able to ease my concerns over putting my almost 14 year old Labrador retriever under anesthesia. I knew I was leaving her in good hands! They sent me a text update right before her procedure started to let me know she was doing great and called me right as she woke up to let me know everything went successfully. I can’t thank them enough for taking such great care of my dog, Belle!

Big thank you to Dr Darden and his considerate staff! Very professional and did a job well done! One year later and my cat is doing perfectly well after his Entropion surgery. I traveled to San Antonio to have the procedure done correctly and it was definitely worth the trip. 100% trust this facility and will continue to visit for any future concerns.

thoroughly.
Dr.Fritz did an amazing job for my dog's eye removal.

My first visit here was actually quite pleasant. The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, and the overall environment of this location felt safe and professional. They saved my dog's eye after a corneal ulcer got too severe to treat with regular eye drops. The surgery wasn't cheap either, but I would do anything for my pets. The doctor who first attended my dog was professional and courteous during my initial visit and after my dogs surgery.
The problem came on the follow up appointment to check on my dog's eye a week after the surgery. My appointment was at 8:30 AM and I was taken to the examination room promptly. The technician was nice and professional during intake, but then the long wait started. I was in that room for close to an hour waiting for the doctor (different from the first one I saw a week before) to do a quick check up on my dog's eye. My appointment was at 8:30am and I didn't see the doctor until 9:32am. The doctor took about 5 minutes to look and clear my pup. I felt so anxious staying in that examination room for an HOUR. I wish they would have at least offered to reschedule.

I only got to go once, unfortunately my cat passed away, but the one time I went, it was a great experience! They worked within my budget to try and help find solutions for my cat. Everyone was super nice and very accommodating with the scheduling.

Dr. Geller is a kind and compassionate Veterinarian whose love of animals is evident not only in his practice but in his staff. He treated my elderly cat's eyes and made him comfortable. He never was afraid to go for a visit ; the car ride, on the other hand, was another story!
