Very knowledgeable and professional trainers that help you to incorporate functional patterns of movement into everyday life. Was finally able to get relief from an old hip injury. Juan was always implementing new techniques to help me develop more mobility and strength in areas that were deficient. I highly recommend this gym.

I have tried physical therapy, chiropractors, all types of different massage therapy, but they are all band-aid like fixes, nothing long term. SA FF helps you discover any muscle compensations or imbalances you have throughout your body, and works with you to help fix your bio-mechanical movements through different functional movement patterns.It may seem cliche, but SA Functional Fitness has no doubt changed my life in the way that I move, the way that sit/stand, and the way I view fitness. I couldn’t recommend anybody better if you are in a constant state of chronic pain.The absolute best.

Results matter and SA Functional Fitness delivers!!! No way I could have achieved the same results on my own…even the smallest corrections make a huge difference. The workouts are efficient and effective and I haven’t looked or felt this good since I was a teenager.

After hearing about the work SA Functional Fitness was doing with my 80 year old mom, I went to them to help me "recalibrate" my body, which tends to be too flexible, leaving me at greater risk of injury. The work makes structural sense and looks easy, but it is deceivingly challenging in the best of ways. I can already feel a greater strength and structural integrity within my daily movements and my other workouts. Some weaknesses noted by other fitness professionals are finally being addressed, which will better prepare me for the active life I intend to keep living. I can't recommend SA Functional Fitness enough.

Michael and his team are wonderful! They are able to create exercises based on your abilities and build your stamina and strength. I appreciate finally understanding how my muscles work as I improve and have become pain free. Exercise is a pleasure in such a professional positive environment! I am a client for life!

I have loved the experience training at SA Functional Fitness. The trainers are so knowledgeable about working with the body as a whole, making the system stronger as opposed to isolated muscle groups. I definitely recommend this style of training to prevent injury and increase mobility for all levels. I’ve been working with Shelly, and she has an excellent way of assessing where tightness is in my fascia and musculature. She keeps me accountable, and I’m really grateful for her support.

I’ve been working with Shelly at SAF for a few weeks and have already noticed a difference. I’m a former athlete that always just pushed through pain, but now pain is catching up to me and showing up in places that challenge my everyday activities. With Shelly I’m learning to move my body the way it is supposed to move to align myself and strengthen the parts of me that I have never focused on. That focus is already diminishing the pain I had in my hip and knee. Can’t wait to keep working on better movement so I can continue to be strong and age with full mobility

Jaun was great I had bad neck pain every morning for several months and I”m pain free now. I also had lower back pain from work and was given exercises to do at home and haven’t had pain in months I’m so glad I found FP.

Working with Michael at SA Functional Fitness has been one of the best experiences I have had while working on my health and fitness. Not only is he knowledgeable, he’s also very passionate and empathetic about his clients. I’ve only been working with him for a short period of time but already seeing wonderful results. I joined this fitness center at the beginning of the year. I am a 75 year old female and needed to build muscle in my sagging arms. Shelly taught me so much about major muscle groups in my body. It wasn’t just about my arms. She taught me proper ways to strengthen my whole body. Some main elements of my workout was endurance, coordination and mobility. This was a great learning experience for me and helped with each of my workouts.Thanks Shelly!

I can’t believe and I’m so glad this gym exists! The gym is not the typical gym. It is centered around teaching good biomechanics.I’ve gone twice a week for a period of time and once a week and when I went twice a week I saw major changes, I did nothing outside the two hours a week and my abs, my arms, my back, everything was very noticeably much more defined. It’s working smarter, not harder!And my posture, which was the reason I went in the first place is permanently improved! I feel so much better!I like that I learn there and that it is knowledge I will always have.Shelly is my trainer and it is like she has x-ray vision and can easily see what is going on and give quick, simple cues to correct it. In making a little change I feel a big difference right away.It is so cool this place exists!

I have been working out with Michael for over seven years. Juan joined Michael at SA Functional Fitness about two years ago. Together, they make a great team. They focus on the individual and utilize specific exercises to help improve function and mobility. I started going to functional fitness because I began having trouble with my knees. Being in my twenties and have this problem really frightened me since the cracking and tightness wouldn’t go away and no medication or treatment would heal it long term. Functional fitness has helped me significantly at redirecting my daily body movements to function at the right balance and relief pressure off my knees. The inflamation has decreased and I’m more aware of having better posture while sitting or standing. I highly recommend functional fitness because they focus on the troubled area while at the same time connecting the entire body without the use of medication or surgery.

Great trainers that will help you find the source of your pain or issue. I have worked with trainers in the past that didn’t listen to me and what my body was saying - the no pain, no gain mentality. Which caused more pain and I’d eventually give up and quit. Thankfully, that is not the case here! All the trainers are very knowledgeable and excited to help figure out what is causing the pain or discomfort and the movements to correct it. I have more body awareness now, than I’ve ever had, thanks to the team at Functional Fitness.
