“Updated Aug 15, 2024 to 4-stars: I talked with Penske Corporate as well as Jason from the San Antonio district. It is clear that the Penske culture is to ensure safe equipment as well as give good customer service. I do believe the San Antonio, Houston Street Rental and Inspection disciplines have been made aware of the issues with my two vans and will not occur with future renters.
I would not hesitate renting from Penske again, though in the future I will inspect the equipment more thoroughly instead of implicitly trusting everyone did their job. Moving vans have a hard life and it is good to double check for yourself before taking a long trip.

I will be reaching out to Penske Corporate to provide my detailed feedback since I believe there is a serious dereliction of duty for the Inspection and Rental responsibilities at this 3641 W Houston Street, San Antonio main location. These location-specific responsibilities need a shake up and I believe telling Penske Corporate about my major issues and concerns will actually get them resolved for future renters. In the end, my rental concluded without an actual emergency, yet the negligence in completing the Penske Checklist put me at risk. Note that the San Antonio site Service and Mechanic responsibilities were great.
The Penske Corporate Rental, Penske Corporate Emergency Service, and the El Paso Penske West Service Center are truly outstanding. I think Penske is a good company, has good equipment, and has a great business model. I just believe the San Antonio, Houston Street main location has an issue that needs attention.”
“Yvette is very helpful and nice, if you have a problem she will try her best to fix it for you.(locks not working) I've had a storage here for a while now and it's always been clean and well maintained.”
“Thanks Cory for getting me in and out...I dread waiting in line here...usually a 20 to 30 min wait I tried a different approach and ordered my starter over the phone. She put it at will call and said just to mention her when I came for pick up. She already had the part pulled and cashed me out right away. I'm so thankful she was able to assist locating the correct part for my clients Isuzu. Im especially thankful I was in and out within 10 mins. The interior floorplan and restrooms were clean as well as the customer lounge. Took some photos of an ol school international delivery truck that sits there. Thanks again for your professionalism Cory. I will be calling or asking for you direct when I get my parts now because I would like the same experience again...I get all my Isuzu parts here and I can see the difference in customer service each time I visit...it's getting better! Open for parts Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm! Thanks again from long time customer BEST FLEET SERVICE AUTO REPAIRS.”
“We did not have any problems with this uhaul location. The owner was supper nice when we returned the truck.
We did have hudge issues with uhuals customer service! They left us stranded at 3 am on the lot trying to figure out our rental for an hour. This had nothing to do with the owner. I know next time to call ahead and make sure everything is ready to go and not just rely on what uhaul says. They also offered compensation and nothing has been done yet.”

“Service attendant pulled up my reservation promptly. Made sure my information was correct. Made me aware the charges pre and post reservation. Made sure to offer/verrify additional services. The ten foot truck was clean and ran perfectly, it didn't struggle on the highway.”
“Mr Naz, has always been very courteous and professional during our pick up and drop offs of Uhaul equipment. We've now utilized his services twice and will most definitely continue to utilized his location for future Rentals.
