We tried this corporation for a year and a half. Terrible, they gouged us on the invoices and charged us fees for unfinished work. I would email my questions multiple times; they would ghost me and keep sending the invoices, stating they were late. They overcharged us several thousands of dollars. I would wait months to hear back from some people. They did my year-end taxes incorrectly, and now I have to pay someone else to clean up the work not done that I already paid for. I would not use this company because they are dishonest and will charge you way more than quoted.

I have had the pleasure of not only being employed previously by Ridout Barrett but also working with them as a client/customer over the past 15 years!This firm is top notch! Tony Ridout, Milton Barrett, & Kathleen Dvorak have my utmost respect. They are all VERY knowledgeable and go beyond the norm to provide the very best service to their clients. Their staff is very knowledgeable as well. I would highly recommend them!

I agree with Stephen P. The firm summarily disengaged me and many others who have used their Individual Tax Preparation Services for a number of years. This in no way reflects on my CPA, who is excellent but, on the company's, unprofessionalism and very poor customer service.

I rarely write reviews, but after receiving poor service which led to me having to contact the IRS to ask for forgiveness as the firm didn't request an extension for me for my 2021 taxes and then when I brought it to their attention they said they would do this on my behalf if I gave them more money to fix their error. Lastly, today, I received a letter from this firm saying they one said they had worked with me for years on my taxes which was incorrect and secondly said they would no longer be able to act as my accountant and that I 'engage another accounting firm'. This is extremely poor service and very unprofessional practices. I would have expected better service and communication.

Staff seemed overworked, did the bare minimum filing instead of looking at opportunities for planning or savings. I would expect a bit more for the prices they charge.

I have used Rideout, Barrett for 15 years and they have done a great job for me. I have 6 businesses and my accounting is very complicated, they have always completed my work on time and saved me thousands in Taxes!

I found working with Ridout Barret to be a very frustrating experience. All 3 times we worked with them they did not provide quotes up front. Then each time we got hit with invoices after the work was complete that were much higher than expected. The second time we worked with them we asked for a quote up front but they told us they needed to assess how much work would be required first. When we asked again for a quote before they were about to start working on our taxes, the quote we received included $500 in charges for the assessment of the work, before they had even started any work on our taxes. Which was why we had asked for a quote first - so we wouldn't be hit with any unexpected surprises like that.
