Best service and value for your pets. I inherited a pup last fall and called her original vet clinic about vaccines and prices. They were outrageous. Called Pets First and my quote and visit was $130 less. Very caring and understanding of my pets needs. All my fur babies are Pets First clients.

I cannot say enough good things about Pets First Vet clinic here in San Antonio. I was fortunate enough to become a new client over a year ago. During that time, they have assisted me with the health maintenance of my three dogs and two cats. They even trim one of my cats nails, regularly. Who does that? They do :-) My cat needs it, trust me. Unfortunately, this last week, I needed the assistance with my oldest little terrier, as her health seriously declined. I had to make the painstaking decision to put her down. Emotionally, I am ill equipped for this task. The Physicians and staff at Pets first took all efforts to make this step, as comforting as possible for me and my pup. They literally rolled out the red carpet when I arrived and handled us both with such sincere loving, respect and genuine kindness. I feel so fortunate to have become their client a year ago. Not that this matters but the cost of this procedure was so gentle and affordable. I have heard other stories from my peers. I have suffered the loss of a long time canine best friend but I have the support of my professional team to remind me why a group like this, is so important in the all around Health and wellness for my pets and my peace of mind. I highly recommend anyone, looking for a Veterinarian clinic for their pets to consider this wonderful group of Doctors, technicians and office staff. Thank you, very, very much Pets First.

They are so wonderful there. We have quite a few animals and all of them go there. So we are there more than most people and can see them on various days. On any day you can see these people work there because they love animals. ❤️

9/14/23 took Layla, our new Chihuahua mix. As in the past friendly environment and lots of attention. Layla's new vet was very informative and interactive! Kudos to Pets First again!

We were recommended to this vet by a friend a couple years ago. It has been nothing but a horrifying experience. I won't go into my long and very sad story, but I DO NOT recommend this vet at all. They made the last day of my sweet 15 year old babies life horrific. THESE ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE AND THE THEY DON'T CARE. They also told us my other dog had heart worms when he didn't and has collapsing trachea instead. The vet literally SCOLDED my poor husband and disgraced him after the initial test. Fortunately, I have found a new vet and it has been like night and day. GOOD RIDDANCE.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Wright and the whole staff at Pets First. Our family found Pets First shortly after moving to San Antonio. Right away we e realized we had found a care center for EVA, our elderly boxer. Through the end, we felt good about our care, EVA could not have been in better hands, even as she said her good byes and crossed over. Elena and I will be forever thankful to the entire staff.

Service provided: 5/5 Pricing: Good/ Fair Veterinarian: 5/5 Customer Service: 1/5 Needs improvement or replacement. I've taken both my dog and my cat and they receive great care from the actual Doctors, but it seems like every time we come in contact with the lady on the phone (I won't mention a name) she is extremely rude, has poor communication skills, and is in desperate needs of phone etiquette training. This is a reflection on the staff as a whole and sadly she brings down the entire experience and makes me not want to come back or definitely not refer to other animal parents. The other techs who came to pick up my dog from the car and bring her back were pleasant, polite, and always have a great attitude! Experience: My husband takes care of paying she missed his phone call at pick-up time after my services were completed and she stepped out of the door and yelled at me from the door "he's not answering so I don't know what you want me to do" and went back inside. She didn't professionally walk to my car (I was in the 2nd parking space) and speak to me. She simply scolded me from afar and didn't even wait for a solution. Unacceptable. I hope this issue is resolved by my next furbaby's check up or we will need to find another place for care. I do want to say a huge thank you for everyone else who IS providing a great experience and service. They shouldn't get shunned because of one person's choice to act ignorant of their actions.

An "original" dog owner patient for 40 yrs- my generations of Blue Heeler rescues have been perfectly cared for from puppyhood to a humane goodbye under these great Vets! Each Dr- from original owner, legendary Dan Meadows- to Dr. Heather Wright- not only expert traditional care but also accupressure/puncture & great herbal, natural care...and Dr Gonzales, another compassionate, excellent Veterinarian. Every Dr here I am happy to trust with my best friends lives! Excellent staff that treats u like family- even the wonderful Tracy - Office Mgr is family and a joy to work with. Excellent grooming service as well- my heartfelt love & thanks to each of you and the wonderful techs! I have never had a rescue that wasn't HAPPY to jump in car once they know they're going to see their other family at Pet's First! What more can u ask for- rely on Pet's First - compassionate, excellent CARE that your pet will be HAPPY to go visit !

So far with just scheduling appointment I've had a great experience! Super friendly staff and better prices then surrounding vets. My appointment is soon so I will update the review on how that goes. Just over the phone schedules get 10/10

These guys are great and really went the extra mile with our diabetic dog. Prices were fair and I felt like a valued customer. Doctor Brown took time to explain medical issues and offered expert advice and support. Definitely a place to take your furry companions.
