I’m very disappointed at the service provided at my visit today on May 30, 2024. I am avid user of Petco’s self-wash station and have never experienced issues at other locations. I called all 3 locations in San Antonio to inquire about available times. San Pedro confirmed a wellness clinic was on-going so the section was unavailable. Callaghan confirmed their last take in was 5:30 pm. I called Nagadoches and a gentleman confirmed they take their last take in at 7 pm. It was very much a surprise when I walked in at 6:41 pm to be turned away as the female associate quickly told me they close their stations at 6:30 pm. I told her I confirmed earlier today with a gentleman about time availability. She walked to check back with him and she came back and said somewhere to the affect of that “he’s new. He didn’t know. Sorry, it’s closed and we can’t do anything about it.”
I have an anxious car riding golden doodle. It takes a lot of effort to bring my anxious dog in the car with me. This location is a 30 minute car ride from my residence and I made sure to leave with enough time to arrive before 7 pm. It’s disappointing to be turned away for the one purpose I came to this location and to be provided with such an unsatisfactory response and zero empathy. He’s new, he didn’t know is unacceptable! The retail store closed at 8 pm so it would have been fair to have been provided with a better reason. Petco Nagadoches, please do better.

The store has a great variety of products and the employee was extremely friendly and helped us choose products according to what we needed. There is free parking in front of the store. I had a good experience.
