Had a visit here with my son for a field trip. The play we watched was called "The Velvetine Rabbit".A Concession stand was available.The prices are good and it's a fun experience for children and parents to enjoy something out of the ordinary.There is a huge playground outside of the theater as well as covered picnic area.

Cast did an amazing job ?? We came here on a school field trip to watch The Velveteen Rabbit ? Cute story ? My son wanted a drink and popcorn ?? as other kids did so I bought his some along with chocolate ? candy... We had a good time. All the staff was kind with helpful smiles ?

Went on a field trip with my 5th grader. The staff was really nice and patient. The perfumers took time after their performance to ask and answer questions to/ from the kids. It was a great experience!

My team and I attended the Velveteen Rabbit for Educator Appreciation night. It was so good! The cast was amazing. This has been a tradition for my team. We love it! Thank you for appreciating us. We APPRECIATE you!

The Magik Theatre always does an amazing job. I've been enjoying their plays 10+ years. I attended their production of The Velveteen Rabbit and it did not disappoint. The four person cast did a wonderful job performing their creative version of this beloved story. Bravo!

We took a large group of adults with disabilities to see a play. The employees were fantastic! I loved how they went out of their way to accommodate our special needs group of adults. There were many small school children there at the same time. They first allowed us to use a separate entrance (which was close to our seats). Then they placed us in an area that was to the side and front where we would be able to have a good view of the stage, but separate from the distractions of the other excited students. I noticed an empty row of seats between our group and all the other small children. Although it was probably just they way they were seating everyone, it worked as a nice buffer to keep some of the distractions away. We were able to use the same door to exit and were again greeted by many of the employees as we left. It was a wonderful experience for our entire group.

Looking for a family friendly spot in San Antonio you have to come and check out the Theatre. The experience is high quality and fun. The theatre is located in downtown San Antonio. There is plants of parking and there is a park in walking distance for the kids to go and play at after the performance. There is a small concessions and gift shop to buy items. We enjoyed the performance of the Velveteen Rabbit." My family enjoyed the performance and the actors did a phot opportunity at the end of the show. We can't wait to be back.

My kids and I have enjoyed several performances at the Magic Theatre over the years. I love that the performances are done by local actors and that the performances are geared towards kids. Recently we were able to experience The Velveteen Rabbit here. We were greeted immediately upon entering by their staff and given our tickets. We made our way to the concession stand where we picked up popcorn and drinks and sat down to enjoy the performance. The play started shortly thereafter. The script as well as acting was carried out seamlessly retelling the childhood classic story. If you have young kids or even just like local theater, you should definitely visit them!

We went to go see The Velveteen Rabbit. This was the first play I have ever been too! It was Me and my husband with our 3 yr old and 1 year old! We had such an amazing time, way better than what I expected. My kids were so into the show! They were watching everything, they would laugh and get excited with the actors. I myself enjoyed it just as much, it brought me so much happiness. The theater alone is very cute and historic. It's old but has great charm. The service all around was great, they were very friendly and helpful. I recommend you guys come and watch The Velveteen play. They are performing from Nov. 18- December 24th 2023! Bring your kids they will love it

One of our kids favorite activities in San Antonio! If you’re a veteran then there is often discounted tickets at vettix or they also offer a discount at the front desk. We saw Carmela Full of Wishes and it was awesome.

My son's elementary school went and saw the play, "Carmela Full of Wishes." It was very well done! The kids were all engaged and loved the play. Looking forward to returning again soon!

I've taken my granddaughters to Magik Theater since they were 4 years old. The plays have always been appropriate to young ages, held their attention , and exposed them to theater in a situation that allowed them to be children yet hold the attention of adults as well. We attended this performance of "The Lightening Thief" because they have outgrown the earlier productions, and this was more for their current age group. (Over 11.) They enjoyed it so much. They have now graduated to more adults, and this let us return to an old friend, The Magik Theater. It is such a family-friendly place . Clean bathrooms, comfy spacious seats, and most importantly, talented personable performers willing to share conversations with all who attend.
