By far the worst moving company. Trust me they didn't care about my belongings. Don't ever do business with this company. I'm so mad right now they damage so much stuff. They were supposed to be at my property to start packing early in the morning they arrived at 7pm. I had to be out of the house due to the house being sold so I let them in.... Let's just say they were rushing and at 3am they were still not finished. Just avoid them at all cost. I just notice they broke my Jersey Frames and expensive art work is damaged one leg of my dining table is gone. Also I can't find my Riffle if I can't find it this evening I will be filing a police report!!!

This moving company is the worst and BBB is a good source with many negative reviews. Do not use this company to move you from any state. They are irresponsible, dishonest and untrusting. No matter what state you are moving from do not trust the sales rep.

These people severely damaged or completely lost virtually everything I own. I paid $5000 for them to move my stuff and they costed me $5000 in damage. For the love of God, if you see this company show up at your door, send them home. They literally lost my wife's piano and a $600 plasma ball. Poof, gone...Then they promised to fix the stuff they damaged and never called or showed up to fix it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Zero stars. I was lied to by everyone I spoke to on the phone. The local driver/mover was late, scheduled between 1-5p arrived 7:30p. 'oh we can't work past 8'. I'll be back 6a, the next day, driver arrived but no help until 8:30a. It was the middle of Covid in NYC and I had a plane to catch. I had to leave before they were finished. 2 large items are missing. Most of the boxes are in really rough shape. It took 2 months to get my stuff (they said 21 days). I have not been through everything yet, but 2 small mirrors broken, leg torn off of wardrobe (placed under by mover to help it stand), leg split on table, another table is in pieces, tape damage. And when I contacted them for a damage form, crickets.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. For the love of all things holy. Do not use this company. I hope I can get this resolved in a quick and peaceful manner but clearly, judging by the rest if these reviews, it seems that's not going to happen. Customer service is terrible. I got a quote from them and was over charged on the day of my move by 600 dollars. I have no idea how much more they're going to charge me. I'm afraid at this point. I don't even know if I'll get my stuff back at this point. I can only hope. I got called two days after pick up and told they cannot process card payments anymore and I have to find another way to pay them. Well, the card if the only way we had to pay them. So I'm curious what they'll say to that. I'm going to be completely unavailable by phone, so its forcing them to use email contact only, not sure how that will go either. Please, save yourself. Just uhual yourself, or get a diffrent moving company. I have no idea what we are going to do if we can't get our stuff back. We have no bed, we have no desks, hardly any clothes. We are basically at ground 0 if they refuse to deliver, plus even if they do, I don't know if any of it will be in good condition.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM-- CURRENTLY TAKING THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. Welp after the WORST experience ever, and being spoken to in a horribly rude and disrespectful manner (by an employee who was clearly on drugs) we are headed to court. Lonestar movers charged me around 450% over the estimate they gave me and it seems this is a common theme for them. They issue low estimates and then do a bait and switch the day of service when you have no choice but to move forward. Before we even got into my home the mover warned me not to yell at him for going over the estimate-- that he wasn't in charge of the estimate, so "when the bill is a lot higher it's not my fault". He had already decided before entering my home, seeing the items being moved that I would be charged more. The mover told me this is a general practice for Lonestar movers, that often your estimates are grossly under the actual amount and talked about a girl the previous day who once her items were on the truck, had her fees increase around 300% and they wouldn't unload them without being paid, she was crying in the street and called the police to come mediate. THE POLICE people...that's how absurd this company is. I am convinced the driver was on drugs or drunk as he was erratic in parking the van, couldn't make eye contact with me, was slurring his words, would walk away while I was midsentence and leave the room and in general seemed lost and disoriented. He was very open about his appreciation of marijuana and made several comments throughout the day about pot. He spoke to me in such a disrespectful manner-- literally never in my life have I been spoken to that way...and I have seen some things in my day. When I was able to get the mover to focus he had said that because my dining room table (6x3.5 feet) couldn't be broken down that it would double my cubic feet-- which makes no logical sense whatsoever, its physically impossible that, that would be the case. He then told me I would be charged a long haul fee saying that since the truck was parked across the street I would be charged $75, he told me that the policy was if the truck was more than 75 feet ROUND TRIP, meaning it can only be 37.5 feet away from the door it was considered a long haul. When called the company and asked about this policy they confirmed that this was untrue and that this was the second blatant attempt for them to overcharge me. It then took them SIX hours to move out of a 800 square foot apartment, with no bed or sofa or large furniture-- with an elevator. SIX HOURS PEOPLE (see...the guy was on something), I have never seen anything like it. I then was told that even though all of the items I had listed during our estimate that I was going to be charged 450% of what the original estimate was, which goes against the US Department of Transportation, Better Business Bureau, and the Department of Household Goods and Consumer's limit of 110% over an estimate warranting an investigation and a complaint against the company and allowed me to move forward with small claims lawsuit to recoup the funds. I was supposed to be charged $1,300 and then they raised it to $4,500-- totally insane! The items that were to be moved were all listed in the estimate with the exception of a few items, which I would have paid extra for, it happens, but this is a blatant bait and switch and totally egregious. When I contacted the company in an effort to come to a compromise they completely ignored me. It wasn't until two weeks later that I called to follow up and they LAUGHED on the phone (yes you Ann Johnson, laughed at the customer you scammed) and said "file a claim". UPDATE!-- It gets better. They said they have NO responsibility to deliver within ANY TIME FRAME AT ALL...yet another bait and switch (it has now been 30 business days). So they tell you that over the phone and then renege on that promise which is a common theme. Don't believe a thing they say. Additionally, they added

THEY WILL KEEP YOUR ITEMS HOSTAGE - overcharge you, and then say "it's part of the moving industry" Communication - 0/5 Customer Care - 0/5 Flexibility - 0/5 Value for money - 0/5 Contract - 0/5 So very ridiculously hard to get ahold of the right people for your questions, concerns, schedule, etc.! They do not care about the customer nor are they interested in helping. They are very unprofessional to the point where they won't even fulfill their contract, they just don't care. They will manipulate you by holding your items hostage and make your life super complicated. Just go with anyone else.

Ever since I agreed to work with LSM to coordinate a move from San Antonio to Boston have I been a quivering mass of worry. Oh, they're very slick on the phone, Southern charm et al, but the quote changed within 24h of quoting. I put up with it because it was still the most economical option out there. On the day of moving the stuff out of San Antonio, the movers arrived late...and that's fine, I understand. Sh*t happens. But the arrival time kept changing. Once they arrived, the gentleman who led the move found a magical 25 extra cubic feet and added to the quote whereby making this no longer the most economical option out there, but certainly the most tedious. However, I hadn't slept very much since at first they were supposed to arrive late at night, then early in the morning, but showed up midday instead: my throbbing head didn't have any fight to give. Once I arrived in Boston, it was hard for me also to keep track of where my things were. Folks at LSM, at first couldn't find me in their system (I about died), then when they did, they had no idea where my stuff was and once they did locate my stuff, they didn't know when it could be delivered. I, at this point in time, am sleeping on an air mattress. That's all there is in my new place which looks like final resting place of a heroin addict as a result. When my stuff was ready to be delivered, I was given 4 hrs notice before it arrived...when it was supposed to be 24h notice. So now my day is f*cked. Do I want to ask them to reschedule? Of course not. The delivery date is precisely 21 days after I said I'd be first available to be receive my stuff...while I was led to be believe that it was ~21 days after they picked the stuff up. "But, realistically," one of the folks I talked to said. "It'll be ~ a week or 10 days." So this is the theme with LSM: their lack of clarity about their own rules and a truly nonchalant work ethic will make you sweat. Moving already is a trauma so why compound it with movers who aren't contemptuous or sloppy, but far worse: apathetic? So here it is: a lone star rating for Lone Star Movers. Thanks, guys. Let's be better strangers.

Lone Star was contracted by the government to do a move for me. The two guys that packed my house stole a cellphone, an iPad and all my kids money while packing. They damaged the floors and front door of the new house I was moving into. Two of the movers got into a fight in my front yard at the new house and the one of them threatened to kill the other two. Half way through unloading they dropped everything to go help another move. My husband and I spend 5hrs trying to get all the things into our house and the beds together because they didnt do it. They left a ton of boxes they had packed at the old house and said they didnt plan on needing a bigger truck to move all of our things so they asked us to move it. They damaged my bedroom furniture and my plates and some of my cups never made it to my home. I filed a police report and it has been over thirty days since I have filed my claim and haven't received my money. I call everyday and get the same thing that the company is going through a turn over and someone will call. Today I received a call from Amanda who asked if I have filed my claims and pictures. This is completely unprofessional first you hire individuals that deal from the people you're trying too move, when reported yall don't even care and now 30 plus days later you barely ask to see if I filed my claim.

Our wood floors were damaged by the delivery team. Lone Star was notified right away, and 30 days later, I still have not heard back from them.
