Overwhelming majority of the nurses and staff are great! However, Keep your eye on belongings. Things go bye then magically appear when you note it has gps on it. You always have to be realistic about homes. We did that and was ok with this location after reading reviews. What you don’t expect is the trash customer service from management. Yet the unethical holding of my grandma’s Medicare application while harassing my mother about making payments that my grandma was undoubtedly entitled to make through insurance still occurred. Forcing my grandma out and affecting her overall care. Word on the street this isn’t the first time and everyone even in different locations know YOUR name. Well, congratulations you got the right family this time.

THE NURSES WERE GREAT. THE FRONT OFFICE WAS HORRIBLE. THEY WERE VERY THREATENING AND ACTED MORE LIKE THE MAFIA THEN A SOCIAL WORK TEAM. AND I WONT STOP UNTIL I SEE THEM IN COURT FOR THE WAY THEY TREATED MY FAMILY!

As a witness of here for over a time, I cannot say anything nice about this facility. It's extremely disheartening to witness others be abused by the staff, or neglected. The five star reviewers were from faculty, and just overall, this environment is critically unwell, whether mentally or physically. Please for the love of God, do not put your loved ones here. I prefer to stay anonymous if State or Federal reaches out.

I do not recommend this facility. The food and the customer service is horrible. Our mother has to wait hours for service and their continued excuse is that they are under staffed. It took them over 3 weeks to give meds for constipation. They do not keep track very well. This facility should not be taking on more patients with no staff because they do not attend adequately. Some nursing and office staff is rude and impatient. We do not recommend.

BEWARE!! I have a family member here and although I am not the one in charge of her, I am going to convince my brother to remove my family member very quickly. First off the staff never has masks on. Second whenever I have brought a concern up to the staff, some of them have attitude with me and administration they just brush it off. They get defensive. The administrator does not look very friendly and the older man who’s nurse in charge doesn’t help. The police have been out several times in the past couple of weeks from what I’ve heard to speak with staff members??! Why?? There used to be good people here now everyone who cared seems to be leaving. Good nursing staff is gone. Such a shame for a beautiful building. Don’t let the beauty fool you. Keep looking!

This facility may look very nice in appearance but the administrative staff is not to be trusted they do not care about patient well-being or staff will being I would not recommend this facility to any body that I know I would even be afraid for them to take care of Anyone that I care about. Do not send your loved one to this facility administrator and director of nursing are not to be trusted.

I have a grandmother that is a Las Colinas right now. She is actively passing away. The staff here are amazing. They are on top of things at this place. I could not asked for better care. I am grateful for the staff at Las Colinas. I would recommend anyone taking there love one there. The administrative staff is very attentive as well. Everyone is friendly and keeps a smile on there face. Everything we asked the staff for, the staff is quick with response. I was not gonna write a review until my grandmother pass but the lady Ms. Robinson was leaving today with her Aunt. She was upset because her Aunt time was up. She exhausted her rehab days. Ms. Robinson had her male friend there to help her with the move. Ms. Robinson informed me that she was gonna write a bad review on this place. I feel bad because she has her friend Robert D write a review. I'm responding to his review. STOP posting bad things you places and you Mr. Robert D did not witness.

I fell and broke my patella. Spent 2 weeks at hospital then came to las Colinas, for rehab. I had to quarantine for 14 days. But anytime I needed assistance I got it in a timely manner. My physical therapist were good about coming to my room and getting me to do my exercises and strength therapy. I’m a diabetic as well and have hypertension and my nurses were on it about checking my sugar levels and taking my blood pressure to make sure if I needed my my insulin or my blood pressure meds. I was very impressed with my nurse Vanessa she’s a 21 year old with 2 kids . She was super sweet and friendly and genuinely concerned for my well-being. As was my night nurse Mark he was great with me as well. Once I was out of quarantine and could visit the therapy room, my therapist Caleb and Jennifer were awesome and they helped me get to meet all my goals. The aides were there to assist me whenever I pushed my call button too. Super friendly young staff mainly college students. But very respectful and willing to meet your needs . I would most definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for long term care and for those looking for rehabilitation. They have new administration and lots of new nurses and aides.so please don’t go by the old reviews. They cleaned house and hired all new administration personnel.

The reality is this. Not one nursing home is equipped to take care of that many patients with the staffing they have. Even the facilities that have low ratings have staff who genuinely care for the residents. If handling a sick elderly patient was so easy, you'd think the better option would be the family to do what is necessary to take of them on their own but many cannot be bothered with the constraints of doing so. I can't begin to describe how heart breaking it is for staff to see that these patients have family who could take them home with help of a provider and won't be bothered. Won't come and take the patient out for a nice outside errand, nothing. Families go at first, they make sure to give their over bearing demands to the staff as to give the impression they are a " hands on" family, but eventually those visits fade and happen less and less often.Veterinarians will tell you that the best place for your domestic animal to die is at home in familiar surroundings with the people they know. Even if it appears that they aren't aware, they are. So why leave your family member in a facility to die and then complain about compassion? Where's the love for your family. Geez.

I had the pleasure of being a guest at Las Colinas for 5 nights during the recent winter storm. I had a hot shower, 3 meals daily with Hot coffee every morning, clean clothes maintained by the laundry staff and returned all on the same day, a bed to sleep, and access to Direct TV. The staff worked hard with a smile to care for the residents, making sure they were all fed on time, (many of the staff spent several overnights to ensure the residents were cared for). Staff helped each other, picking them up from home and back so they were able to make their shift. Fortunately Las Colinas never lost power, water, or any other conveniences many of the staff and families did without for several days. I haven't met a staff member there that has been rude, uncaring, or accommodating to the residents that call Las Colinas home. I would highly recommend this place. The rooms are spacious, and clean and comparable to many 5 star hotels.

The staff is not equipped for end of life Hospice care. The staff needs a course on empathy and Covid sanitation. No one takes accountability as the staff truly doesn’t know who’s in charge. Something terrible happened to my mother here over the weekend and it’s Monday 4pm and still no one has called me with any kind of an explanation or even an apology.

It has been over a year since I got out of Los Colinas and I still have nightmares. In the time I was there I lost so much weight. I went from 130 pounds to 107. The food was inedible. Truly horrific. If you needed anything and called for a nurse or attendant, it took anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour before they came. When I asked why it took so long for an attendant I was told "you are not the only patient on the floor" and I should know that. So please, I repeat, never send anyone you love and care about to Los Colinas. It may look nice on the outside and inside but there are so many things wrong, so wrong. Don't do that to anyone you love. I was in my early 60s when I was there, I don't think an older person could go thru staying there, God help anyone in their 70's and 80s. There were some people there just waiting to die, or so I was told.
