I consider most important aspect of a business to be customer service and, more specifically, to what extent that customer service can develop into a lasting relationship between the two.
Being able to consult employees and management when there are concerns and receiving a kind, professional, and sincere response goes a long way when I decide where to spend my money.
Lark guitars really is a place that I intend to frequent precisely because they not only provide attention and accommodation to the customer when they are shopping in store, but follow up to make sure that the customer receives that same level of care after the sale.
In my case, after expressing the fact that I had some trouble dialing in a Mark V Mesa Amp and could use some pointers, I received a call from an employee - Clint - the very next day. He was kind enough to talk to me about my concerns thoroughly and offered me to opportunity to come in with my guitar so that he could give me a tutorial and answer any questions I might have. As a matter of fact, he generously gave me half an hour of his time to insure that he understood the general nature of my questions and what kind of guidance I was seeking, and should I have needed it, I am certain he would have stayed on the phone for longer - as long as it took for us to communicate. He was very respectful and insisted that I email or call when I was able to sort out my schedule and would be available to come in.
It is exceedingly rare that a company responds so promptly - if at all - when a concern is expressed or a desire for help with figuring out how to work with equipment and make the most of it is brought up by the customer.
To be clear, the amp was in pristine condition and works perfectly but can be overwhelming if one is not familiar with Mesas and has never used them. I love the amp and with Lark I feel the confidence to buy something that I feel personally is "over my head" because they'll show you the ropes.
Clint is very knowledgeable about equipment and guitars and him reaching out to me in such a timely and professional manner, with incredible patience and a willingness to stay on the phone until he fully understood the general nature of what I hoped we could cover in our "meeting," is something that speaks volumes about this place.
Give them a shot and be reassured that should anything come up the customer will be promptly contacted, listened to, and Lark will do anything in their power to help you out!
Thanks and appreciation to Clint and the rest of the team for phoning me offering a one-on-one tutorial for the product I purchased. Knowing that they a place of business that values their customers in this way is not only refreshing but will keep me coming back.

Why do business with the worst Fender showcase dealer? "Clint" sold me a different guitar than advertised and it had a warped neck. Clint is so obnoxious, I asked for John Larkin, the owner. Clint said he was out of the country. That was months ago and I never got a return call. Add that to their 2 day return policy and you have every reason to shop elsewhere.

I'm not a guitar player but my boyfriend is. He was like a kid in a candystore looking at all the guitars and I was kept happy by the sweetest and most beautiful little dog! She kept me entertained and even shared her tennis ball with me while my bf was geeking out :) My only regret was not asking what her breed is!

Went in to check out their selection of guitar pedals, and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They set me up with a guitar and amp and let me test the pedals I was interested in, making sure I had everything I needed. Atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m looking to buy a guitar or amp.

I stopped in recently and was really impressed. I knew they had a great selection of guitars but what surprised me was how welcoming and interactive they were. Usually when I walk into a place that has the “please ask for help” notes on all the guitars I get apprehensive. It typically means it’s a guitar museum and you won’t actually get to try anything. This wasn’t that way at all.The guys were accommodating and knowledgeable. They were excited to talk shop, pass around guitars they thought were good fits for me and even pull a few just for fun to let me get some different takes. You could tell they love guitars but even more so that they love sharing that love of guitars.The whole experience was refreshing. I wasn’t buying anything top shelf or over the top either. I was trading in for a mid level working guitar.Higher end shops can often be elitist or intimidating. I’ve been to more than a few. This one was far from it. I came out of their more knowledgeable and with more experience than I went in with. It was like being a kid in a candy shop, which is always dangerous for guitar players….Go check them out.

Awesome service as always. The shop feels welcoming and their inventory is heaven to any guitar player. Just bought a Anderson Guitar from them today and I have no regrets. Definitely recommend this place!
