this place sucks. insanely roach infested no matter how clean you are. raccoon problem. randomly started enforcing towing even if someone is in a visiting parking spot. and not even saying over night. cause they said visitors need a overnight pass. and people have had their car there for less than 3 hours and have been towed and have to pay over $200 to get ur car back. this place sucks and is so gross. oh and a/c randomly doesn’t work. maintenance sucks and so does management. go anywhere else.

Overall incompetent management. Will do all forms of communication to ask you to renew a lease but will not put more effort on any other important matters I.e towing, pest control, maintenance. I would look else where.

Roaches and inattentive staff. My apartment has a serious roach problem. I reported the issue in person and gave extensive details of what my family was going through. I was told that someone would be stopping by but no one came in a timely manner. I have been patient and continued to wait but reached out again. No one could explain why I was overlooked the week before; worst of all, no person apologized. I felt very undervalued as a tenant and as well as inconvenienced by this. After being a loyal tenant for 4 years, I would have thought I would have been appreciated more. Due to the infestation here, I have had to throw away food and order a new water dispenser. The maintenance staff is kind and comes in a timely manner and, the rent is cheap, but the discomfort I am going through right now is not worth it. I do not recommend living here. They are nice to you as long as you are up for renewal or about to sign a new lease, but you will regret it afterward.Tip: When moving into an apartment, while doing a walk-through, ask them to pull out the stove and/or refrigerator and look under the bathroom and kitchen cabinets. Look for signs of roaches. This will let you know what you are in for.If they do not come today, I will post pictures and you can see what it would be like to live here.

I would recommend never ever live here they will cheat you out of your money and rack up your bills and they will not fix anything maintenance and they keep changing owners and managers the phone number to contact them doesn't work. I say to everyone who see this do not ever live here even if it's your last resort

If you decide to live here, don’t let your husband near the office unless you plan on divorcing soon. One of the office workers (Katie Gideon) will flirt with your husband and lead him on to believe that he has a chance with a married woman. Don’t believe her good review post, it’s only there because she works there.

I'm disappointed that I can't leave negative stars because that what this establishment deserves. Living here has been the worst decision of my life thus far. They quite literally couldn't pay ME to live her anymore. Let's start off with moving in 10 months ago. The lady who moved me in was so understanding of my situation and did her best to help that transition easier. However 4 week after my move in date, the other lady who doesn't get up front her chair called and told me I never gave a deposit to move in. First of all if a deposit was never given why the hell did i get the keys to the apartment, turns out the woman who initially help me kept my deposit check in her drawer and never filed it with my lease agreement. Pathetic and embarrassing on their behalf when I go up to the front office and point it out. Never saw that woman again after that so I was stuck with the moron they hired after her. I was work from home for the first few months of living here and it there had been a FEW times where maintenance has tried to just walk in without knocking only to realize the top lock was locked so someone must be home. I had complained a few time and the last time this happened, I ran outside to cuss the maintenance man out because I was in themiddle of changing and he could have just wondered in. That was the last time it occurred, I MYSELF had to speak up. A few months go by and now it's mid august, one of the hottest times of the year in south Texas and my electricity goes out. I call maintenance, no answer, the next morning again I call, nothing. I finally realized no one was even listening to my voicemails so I head to the front office again. The lady who is glued to her chair ushers me into her office and I explain that I've had no power for two days in the dead of summer and after bickering back and forth asking if I paid my electricity bill which I had receipts for and put in a maintenance request. They show up two days later and just flip the breakers back and forth for 30 minutes before he uses his brain to notice that that isn't working so he goes outside and tell me I have to call the city to fix it. Keep in mind all my food has gone bad due to no power for 4 days so when the city comes and tell me it's a complex issue I'm fed up. After bickering with the owner of the complex, he sends a maintenance guy to fix it. Gets done in 10 minutes. What the hell was the issue the first time????? In October my then boyfriend decided to move out and we go to remove him off the lease. A few weeks after he's gone, the calls to tell me he's still receiving updates and notices about the apartment he no longer pays for. The moron removed my info and kept his when we both went down and removed him together.. again embarrassing and pathetic. He was gone a month later. Que another new girl at the desk. So here I am 10 months into my lease and they issue a parking pass and tell no one. No naturally people are getting towed left and right. When I wake up to go to a doctors appointment in March, my car is gone. Before calling the police to report it stolen, I first decided to call my complex to let them know as well only to be met with "Oh you haven't picked up your parking pass so they towed it" Well obviously you know who i am. if you hadn't seen me in the office to pick up wouldn't you call to verify if i received the notice. Once again I head back down to the front office and guess what.. turns out they send the email to my ex who moved out 5 months ago. I had to pay $230 to the towing company to get my car. which leads us to today... after waking up this morning to go pick up a friend from the airport, my current boyfriend's car got towed when I went to the office to figure out why he would get towed in a visitor's parking spot, they inform me "oh visitors need a pass too, it was in the initial email" oh the initial email that you sent to my ex!?! We were met with sorry you'd have to pay the $230 again to get his car. you

The apartments are a decent price, the maintenance team is good, and its in a decent area with some nature around. The management team is suspicious to say the least. They will nickel and dime you and throw whatever charge they can to get an extra buck. They charge $500 for having a dog off leash, but dont use that money to fix the one "dog park" in the huge complex that has been missing a latch on the gate for over a year. They atempted to slip in a higher rent rate at the signing of my lease and i had to be sure to correct them, and they reluctantly made the change. Now theyre still trying to charge me more money than is on my lease. Be prepared to make walks to the office once a month or so to discuss these issues with their suspicious management team.

Phones don't answer, mold still in the apartment and the mold was here when my family and I just moved. I do not recommend this place until there is better management. Since there is no good managment, this place will not improve. Also I also reported the mold on paper when we first got here and no response back and that was on may 2022. When we also got here the place looked like it still needed to be fix.

Have been dealing trying to get my money back since Aug. Every time i went in to discuss the issue they told me they would take care of it. Today I was told if they take money if they change oweners it's no longer there responsible for paying it back. That is now your problem. So please be careful when or if you apply to live here. They have fired some employees for doing illegal transactions. Running information that they don't even have signatures for. So plllleeasse be careful with your money with this company! Btw have them on video admitting it as well.

I give La SIlva a 10 out of 10. I've been here for a little over two months. Maintenance is so wonderful. I've needed my kitchen bulb replaced, my screen door adjusted, and just a few minor tweaks to my unit and maintenence has been on it every single time. No roaches here. Super friendly neighbors. Great neighborhood. People are always out walking their pets, kids are playing outside, quiet evenings. Front office is friendly and always has free snacks. Kudos to Rockwood Property Management for taking over these and raising the bar. I look forward to the 24hr access to the fitness center. La Silva is definitely a bang for your buck??
