Was originally calling to see if a specific type of yarn was in stock/what colors they had and if there were any discounts going on for said yarn. The phone was answered by Mindy, who had a very impatient tone and treated me like they did not have the time to provide proper customer service over the phone. During the entire conversation she failed to put me on hold and I could hear her yelling to her coworker "well, thats what shes calling for and I have a line at the register." While I completely understand having a busy work day, I suggest handling your tasks one thing at a time and allowing someone else to answer the phones if there is a large task you're currently addressing. Delegation is important. Summer was the next person who helped me after I asked to be handed to someone else as Mindy was clearly needed elsewhere and she did not seem to have the time to properly assist me. Summer was friendly enough and let me know that the yarn was out of stock. Was unable to provide much more information than a no. I have no idea when yarn will be back in stock but I'm not confident that I would get a solid, kind answer if I were to call back again. I suppose it depends on whoever gets to the phone first. This is my favored craft store and just an all around very disappointing interaction.
Tldr; Phone ettiquite and handling training would be beneficial. Customer service was disappointing and lacked information.

This store has very poor organization, ordered online and the item wasn't even in the store. At least the manager cancelled my order after not being sure whether or not she was even looking in the correct place for my items. Seemed like she knew exactly where the cancel button was. Seems like itd be wise to shop elsewhere

What a dump! The most disgusting store I've ever been in in San Antonio. Floors are beyond filthy, they are nasty. Walls are dirty. Fabric and sewing stuff everywhere. Nothing stocked. Went to go buy thread, but hardly any there. Talked to some man, supposedly he was the manager, he just shrugged his shoulders. I order online or go to Hobby Lobby. If I really need something right away and have to go to Joann's, I will drive further to the one on 410. Which is starting to go down as well. I feel sorry for the people who work there in that dump. They must really need a job.

Bandera location sucked. Not an employee in their had a good personality. Correct ads were not posted for the public to see. Just remain going to the 410 location

I recently decided to start learning how to sew, so we stopped here to grab some fabric. My gosh they have a huge selection or high quality fabrics with all sorts of designs and some even with beading.

I have been a Joanns customer for over 20 years. I have worked retail for over 20 years. I have been sewing and crafting for a long time as well, and Joanns is one of few craft stores in the suburbs. I stop by here about once a week for sewing supplies. This particular store has looked like $hit for the past few months. Because I have worked retail for a long time, I understand staffing issues, payroll, scheduling, etc….but this store is sad compared to the other location near San Pedro. There are carts and boxes in the aisles full of stock that needs to go on fixtures. The lighting is dim because there are multiple light bulbs out.I live closer to this location, but I now drive further to the other location because it is organized, clean, bright, and stocked. These pictures were taken before 10am.

I never shop here and decided to stop by when I was in the area to see what they had on sale from Xmas. The aisles that contained agendas, notebooks, stickers, etc, were trashed, and everything was just thrown around. Some notebooks and agendas were in bad shape with lots of torn pages and bent/torn/dirty covers. I had found a nice 18-month agenda, but when the cashier scanned it, she said it was no longer in the system (for it containing some months from 2023), and she said that she needed to take it out back to throw it away unless I wanted to pay full price for it. All agendas at the time were marked 50 to 70% off. The cashier proceeded to find an expensive 12 month agenda online (different brand than the one I had) and discounted it to 30% off. I reminded her about the 50 to 70% off and the cashier said "it's either you pay this or I take it from you to throw away in the trash to dispose of it since it's not even in our system." I know I probably should have asked for a manager or left the item, but I needed one and did not have the time to go elsewhere or to ask for a manager. The way the situation was handled was not the best experience.

This is the dirtiest, most disgusting Joanns I have ever visited. From the simplest things, like sweeping and mopping, to the most expensive fabrics in the store laying on filthy floors. I will never shop here again.

No customers were at the fabric desk. I needed to ask about a price on a bolt and a single male was standing there with a phone to his ear not speaking. I waited about a minute for acknowledgment which I did not receive. And I asked him if he worked at the store and he said "unfortunately I do". He told me he would be with me in a moment. I waited 3 to 4 minutes. He stood there not speaking and held the phone up to his ear not talking and all I wanted to know was the correct price on a bolt of fabric. I finally threw the bolt up on a box and walked out of the store. This store is worse than the store on 410.

I ordered a Christmas wreath online on Thanksgiving day, 2023. Two weeks later I sent in an inquiry and received the reply. ."we are very busy and cannot respond to inquiries." On December 16th I received an e-mail offering me 20% off my order if I would accept a late order. I accepted. On December 21st, I received an email stating that the item was no longer available, but "not to worry, your credit account has not been charged." It's a little late late, 4 days before Christmas to shop for a door wreath. Lesson learned. I'm done with JoAnn's. No customer service.

I had issues in the store but WILL shop with Joann still because the customer service line makes up for it.1. The male manager is not helpful to his employees and would not help a young lady trying to handle my return. He gave subpar guidance and walked away2. If you pay online using PayPal they will ONLY give you store credit, which is stupid3. When they do give you store credit, be careful because they use cards that already have the pin wiped off, and guess what? Some stranger got to use my store credit. $143 gone, or so I thought. THEN I called Joann customer service, and they were the friendliest people and were able to help me with my order and redeem my gift card.
