I started going here and I absolutely love Charlie. He has given me the best hair cuts of my life!! I have really thick hair that nobody seems to know how to cut but he does! I’m a flight attendant and I will definitely be flying in for my haircuts :)

I'm super upset! I made my appt online a week ago, rushed all the way over from the airport to be told my stylist called in! I would have appreciated a call sooner but instead I was asked if I'd like someone else to cut my hair. No!! So I can be more disappointed? What if I don't like the way it turns out. Ugh! What an inconvenience!

I went in for a cut, it was ok, but what got to me was the unprofessionalism of a female stylist who was cussing and was being loud. I used to come here back in the 90’s and always had a good experience. Now it’s nothing but young kids acting immature and unprofessional. I guess it comes with the Southside mentality. BTW, I’m from the Southside & I know the issues at hand. So unfortunate to see this at the salon. Won’t be coming back. I like a professional and positive environment…

I’d read these reviews before making an appointment here….Horrible customer service, I made 2 appointments, both times the stylist canceled and no one ever called and they “claimed” to have called…..Then dismissed my presence and began serving another customer…… Used the excuse that stylus was ill…. Yet no phone calls were made…. They literally dismissed our presence & no longer acknowledged that we were there…Service: Hairstyling

I've had really bad experiences here before. Customer service by phone was not great when I would call in to schedule appointments. Then the stylist messed up my hair and didn't color it the way I wanted. I have dark hair and when I confronted her about the color she stated well I didn't use bleach. Why wouldn't you ?? So I really didn't want to go here again but it was the only place I could get an appointment so i decided to give it another shot. After showing the stylist a picture of what I wanted she knew exactly what to do. She walked me through the entire process as she was cutting my hair. She even made some extra cuts after she styled to please my liking. When I go back I will only request her.

My birthday was coming up, September 20, 2021. My husband was paying for it. I made an appointment for September 17, at 4 pm with Rebecca Campoy. We started at 4:30, finished at 9:30 pm. It was late at 9:00 she charged me 300.00 and this is the result of my husband gift to me. Rebecca knew it looked terrible and never offered to go back to correct. She is the "professional". The Salon manager, Shamika told me I would not get any refund due to the cost of the expensive color treatment. So, this is the result of an expensive color treatment by Instyle at Jcpenny located inside South Park mall. I have a stylist friend that was not able to do my hair, but after seeing the fiasco that Rebecca Campoy created and did not offer to correct after seeing the result that evening, my friend is correcting her so called 23 years of managing Regis Salon at South Park Mall before closing. I only wanted to be charged what was fair cost to the result, and the salon manager,Shamika after I contact after 4 days after the fiasco and did not call me back when she said she would, refused. I want to share my experience with those out there that are headed into this Salon aware that theses persons are only interested in money and not the paying customer satisfaction. I will never go or recommend anyone to go to Instyle Hair Salon inside Jcpenny at South Park Mall in San Antonio, Texas. I have reached out to Janelle Gonzalez the store manager through customer care to no avail.

Called ahead to see if location was available, and was told that they were open and appointments were not needed for what I requested. When I got there they said that they were booked for the day. Now... you may be thinking, oh things change, right? Well as I was leaving the person that came in after me asked for a haircut and was treated immediately. Oh well :)

This is the worst place to get your hair bleached or colored! She bleached my hair for five hours until it was WHITE and then put blonde color on top. Also bleached my hair in a straight line! Had no idea how to blend. She made fun of another clients “dead hair” after she walked out and took multiple pauses from applying bleach to my hair so she could talk on the phone. Very unprofessional, I went in at 1PM and did not leave until past 8, after they already closed the mall.. I am embarrassed to put my hair up because the bleaching is literally a straight line. This was beyond the worst experience I have ever had with my hair. Will NEVER go back.
