“Jessica E provided phenomenal service. She was kind, very informative, and helpful in selecting the right option. She also shared a brief history of Estancia. I would definitely return here. Thank you for the immaculate hospitality, Jessica!Food & drinks: The food was amazing! It felt like eating a home cooked meal. My hats off to the chef”

“everything was good except for the lobster pasta it was to much oil I couldn't eat it, I took it home to eat later and got more oily.overall is good but i didn't enjoyed the pasta and it was my birthday but I didn't complain, beer isn't in the menu you have to ask for it then have like 4 options the one we choose was really good.”

“We had a great overnight stay at the Drury. Breakfast was great. I have to give a shout out to Mrs. Rachel, on Sunday morning when we were having breakfast, she was the one cleaning up after all of us. She had the best disposition and attitude. She greated everyone with a smile as she did her job.I had grabbed a plate of biscuits and muffins to take up to some family members who were unable to make it to breakfast and she asked if she could wrap it in cellophane, and gave us cups with lids for the juice. She could probably give everyone lessons on customer service. Thank you Drury and thank you Rachel.”

“Our suite was very nice with room for sharing beverages and conversation with friends. For now, BE SURE TO ASK FOR A ROOM AWAY FROM CONSTRUCTION. The couple we were traveling with got a room too close to the noise and had to move.

Rooms: Our suite was spacious and included a sitting area, walk-in closet and mini-fridge. Linens were of good quality. View was nice.

Nearby activities: Alamo, River Center Mall, Riverwalk

Walkability: Very walkable

Food and drinks: Bar was nice but very noisy at night, so we sat outside

Noteworthy details: Historic hotel”

“Check in was quick, happy hour and breakfast was amazing. Room was nice but tub was a little gross. No staff member spoke to me during my stay, which I thought was strange. Overall it was good.”

“Staff were incredible. Rooms were comfy and cozy. They could use updating, but for the price, it is a good value. Parking is extra, $49 as of posting. Oro is good, but expensive for what you get. This hotel is haunted ? and literally right across from the Alamo. A really great value! Highly recommend. Do the ghost tour too!”

“We reserved multiple rooms for our team. This process was easy, thanks to their management. Both breakfast and dinner were free. The location made travel to differing stadiums and fun easy. The rooms seemed new and were very comfortable. The price was very reasonable. Service was always quick and quite friendly.”

“See room details below.

Rooms: Rooms were nice but need more drawers. Considering this is a five-star hotel we were disappointed in our room quietness, we had an adjoining room with a door so families could stay in both units. Another family checked into the room next to us and we could hear every single word they said, we could hear them shuffle their cards and every laugh. That's family stay up till about 11:30pm and needless to say we could not go to sleep. Is this acceptable in such a high-end hotel, I don't think so. We are very disappointed.

Nearby activities: The Riverwalk is absolutely fantastic.”

“Nice base to stay at while visiting your son or daughter in the Air Force, easy on and off access to the highway. They have a salt water pool, which was quite refreshing. Nice friendly staff.

Rooms: Decent room with the king-sized bed good A/C has a small kitchen in it which I really like if you want to save a little on food.

Nearby activities: Ball Park close by, sea worlds not to far off, air base is close, some really good restaurants nearby. Quick access to the river walk or the fort.

Walkability: There is an exercise room with a treadmill and weights in this facility. There is really no place close by to walk to.

Food & drinks: With a refrigerator and a small cook top and microwave, you can make up something for yourself or bring back leftovers. They do have a small store inside the lobby. Also had a washer dryer you can use..”

“Just got back from a weekend stay at the Staybridge Suites San Antonio Downtown Convention Center and it was great! I was extremenly impressed with (1) the convenience of the location within walking distance of all the downtown attractions (2) the comfort and cleanliness (3) at a great price (4) and the professionalism and courtesy of the staff, specially, Gloria.
Gloria had the weekend duty so we interacted almost exclusively with her. Extremely personable, courteous, friendly, and extremely responsive to all our needs, Gloria was the perfect hostess. We got perfect attention, perfect directions and "spot on" advice for where to go and what to do. She represents the Staybridge WELL. We will return.”

“If you like a view I recommend the king corner, if your lucky you get the room facing downtown. We came for a night alone for our anniversary. We had a great stay-cation.”

“Just wanted to say that we had a great experience… the hotel location was great, you can walk just about anywhere…. The hotel and rooms were nice and clean and had a cool vibe…. ( little noisy on the street side, but not bad)…. My biggest compliment …is the staff… from the awesome valet guys, to the front desk and even the cafe folks…. Really great people …. Especially when I got home 3 hours away and realized I left something very important in my room… I called the hotel… spoke to RJ and explained it and he called his house manager..( I didn’t catch her name) and she drove back after she had already left for the day, went to my room and located the item and took it to the hotel safe for safe keeping until it was picked up….. they all were SUPER nice and helpful… just wanted to say thank you again! We will definitely be back!”

“We enjoyed our balcony room overlooking the Riverwalk. The room was very comfortable. Once we learned how to use the elevators, it was nice to typically be the only person on.
Check in was easy and friendly.
The location is very convenient to restaurants, and other sites, plus the convention center. It's a very walkable town.
The balcony made our stay even better.”

“This is a quiet, old (1800s?) home in a residential neighborhood, with multiple rooms/suites. The Galway room was comfortable for one person and could work for a couple. It had a large bed, roomy closet, and a couple places to sit. Continental breakfast was included. The main floor has lovely spaces to sit and read our eat or visit. Outdoor seating is nice, especially in the morning or evening. The manager is very responsive to requests. Be aware the clawfoot tub/shower is charming but not very accessible. I'll definitely choose this over typical hotel/motel in the future.Walkability: Easy to walk to some good restaurants in the area. A little bit longer to walk to many San Antonio sites, as it's removed from tourist areas. A nice walk to historic San Pedro Springs Park.”

“A business trip with some sightseeing opportunities at the end of the week was well worth the time spent at this hotel.Being located near the San Antonio Airport made our trip conveniently located to work locations and local attractions. The hotel shuttle service helped us get around nearby restaurants and shops. Since our trip was timed during Spring Break, a golf tournament, and the Solar Eclipse, rental cars were sparse and expensive. We also utilized Lyft services, which proved to be a good choice.Hotel options like a bountiful breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelets fueled us well for the day - whether for work or leisure sightseeing. Finishing the day with complimentary drinks and snacks helped keep us going for any remaining work ahead or just winding down.Additional amenities included a workout center with some good options to get in some exercise if so desired. Or you could try some pool time to work out your muscles or just relax. I did it all and loved every moment of my time there.Having a suite made it possible for us both to either work or relax, depending on our varying schedules. That was a bonus! Thanks, Embassy Suites, for making this trip a pleasure. Great job!”

“The stay was great! Perfect location in regards to where our family was in the city. And they are pet friendly, so we didn't have to stress about our 2 small babies. The staff from checking through the stay to check out, we're very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Safety: We were a le to see our vehicle from our room window”

“First time visiting San Antonio and such a nice and quiet spot but still surrounded by so much in the area! Our room was so nice and cozy. The AC in the hotel was such a life saver from the Texas heat. The basement bar was such a big surprise and wished I spent more time. Looked like a spooky vampire lounging area. Big shout out to Rudy for taking care of us during our whole stay! Anything I needed, they were so quick to respond and made sure we were comfortable. Enjoyed all the amenities and I can’t wait to come back!!”

“The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Service was great. Everybody very friendly. The only thing I was kinda not agreeable about was the breakfast. Eggs were yucky, maybe powdered eggs. Not great. Sausage was not cooked all the way . Couldn't get to the waffles too many people were in line for that. There was no biscuits, bread for toast, no more milk for cereals. No bagels. Maybe we just got their too late. 7:30. But oh well we got what we could and it did the job so yeah. It was free meal.Rooms: Just comfortable and clean and very nice.Safety: Very safe.”

“I had a massage and pedicure for my first visit to the spa. The services were phenomenal. Probably the best massage I’ve ever had and everyone was extremely friendly. They could’ve done a lot better on maintaining the women’s locker room area. The available shower stalls had used wet towels in them. No hand towels at the sinks and restroom stalls out of toilet paper. They did seem to be short staffed so giving them grace there.

This is just a ‘me’ thing but didn’t realize it’s clothing optional in the amenities area. Not a fan of sitting with naked strangers in the whirlpool, steam room or sauna so we didn’t take advantage of those. That’s the only reason I likely won’t go back.”

“We stay at BW Plus a lot and love them. Jose (front dest) and Nina (breakfast cook) were both amazing and provided awesome service. Kudos to them both. Room was clean, as was the lobby and dinning area. The breakfast was fantastic each morning and Nina did great keeping it stocked despite it being busy the whole morning. Location is great for downtown activities. Free parking and free breakfast this close to downtown is a huge plus.

They had some small issues that didn't really effect us but worth noting --- one of the two elevators was out of order, day time coffee machine was not turned on (said out of order), room bathroom sink stopper broken, bathroom door lock was broken (metal cover missing). When we first arrived the room was very humid and warm but setting the ac down to 66 and keeping it at 66 fixed this. Not a big deal since we like a cold room. Jose was always very quick to respond to requests we had.

Overall, a good value for a great location.”

“Another wonderful conference and stay with the Thompson. Nothing better than being able to host events in your own city and showcase it for out of town guests. Hotel staff is amazing, cleanliness is a priority, food was delicious, valets are careful and friendly. The small Leah Al touches impeccable. Rooms are comfortable and very well appointed. Great job! Thanks so much for taking care of my guests.”
