My wife took our car in for an alignment and the gentleman proceeded to try to tell her that the shocks were bent and needed to be replaced as well and it was going to be $780. Of course I took it to our regular mechanic that I trust for a second opinion and he proceeded to tell me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the struts and the car only needed to be aligned. ... I lived next door to David from 8th through 12th grade. He was always mechanically inclined. He could fix anything. I still remember his 59? Ford. Galaxie/Fairlane. His parents had a 67 Chevy truck. Green and white. I loved that truck and still think of it after all these years. Funny story. In 8th or 9th grade David's father invited me to go to the lake to go water skiing on their boat. This wasn't a ordinary boat. It was a speed boat they built in their garage that had a Buick 430 engine in it. When we got home I mentioned to David's father that I had a cold. His father said "Your mother is going to kill me." When I woke up the next morning my cold was gone. Aren't memories great?
