As a visitor I was towed even though my car was registered into their system but because I didn’t park in visitor parking which isn’t labeled, I now have to pay a hefty fee to get my car back. They don’t even notify residents where visitor parking is. They just want your money!! Wouldn’t recommend living here at all!! Parking is horrendous. Shame on this apartment complex!!

This review is 5 stars for Alisha - not the apartment. She helped me with leasing / lease takeovers. I emailed her no less than 100 times over the few months of me staying here. She answered every question I had before signing the lease, was responsive, keeps you up to date, and keeps it real with you. She exhibited the upmost patience with me while I was trying to get things sorted out, & explained everything to me as well which I appreciated more than anything. The apartment itself is pretty Ight. I wasn’t there for long. Could use some updating but for a college kid, its pretty choice when it comes to accommodations. Didn’t see any bugs, the shared spaces are nice, and I got a good price. Subletting can be difficult since you’re responsible for finding someone yourself to take over the lease, and they have to go through an approval process. So I’d just recommend being mindful of that when leasing. Overall it’s a pretty nice apartment though. Thanks again for all your help Alisha. I hope they give you a raise this year.

Finally moved out so i can write this review for this god awful place. ‼️‼️‼️DO NOT MOVE HERE ‼️‼️SAVE YOUR MONEY !‼️‼️‼️ This place has a bug infestation problem, a mold problem, and terrible management and maintenance. Words can’t even begin to describe my experience at highview. But i’ll try to begin. If you happen to live with a roommate, please save up the extra 100 dollars if you have no other options to get a solo apartment here. The management will do everything in their power NOT to help you if you have a roommate that has cleanliness issues. Matter of fact they will charge you for a cleaning fee no matter how much proof you provide them for your roommates mess. If you have mold, good luck getting the office to take it seriously unless you threaten them with legal action! Took me 4 attempts to get maintenance to my apartment for a mold growth issue that got terrible over the spam of 3 weeks trying to contact them. I haven’t even began to mention the make believe move out fees this place pushes on you once you’re out. Cleaning fees, replacement fees, for the fun of it. Ended up being charged split between me and my roommate for a “missing tv” when we both provided documentation for no missing furniture on moveout.Management is a joke, it’s almost like they know rent is cheap here and can live up to the most “half ***” attitude out of any place i’ve rented. These people will have you thinking they’ll be right on top of your issues or that they care but could really care less.Parking and security is terrible. The parking lights have been out for the better part of the year which resulted in my own car being broken into on 3 different occasions. The security speeds around the entire lot once per few hours and calls that security. They don’t care about break-ins as long as you give them your money at the end of the month. This place is a joke. Save your money if you plan on leasing here for over a few months. Seriously, nothing is more insulting then dealing with terrible management, and then getting a text on your phone from them reminding you about your bills that are coming up. What a joke.Reading the good reviews to this place is appalling, i guess paying rent here is like flipping a coin on whether or not you’ll be miserable for a term. At least whether you land heads or tails you’ll know that you’ll still have a filthy, muddy, dirty apartment every time maintenance comes by!EDIT: Highview rewards tenants with “points” if they put in good reviews. They could use these points for rewards like gift cards. It’s no wonder almost every single positive review is made before the tenant even experienced living there for a few months.EDIT 2: When will the actual property manager take notice of the filthy tactics this business uses to steal tenants money? Robbing them with replacement fees and cleaning fees and the minute you try to contest these fees, they’ll ignore your calls, block your email, and send your account to collections. If you need a prime example, just ask Alisha! She does a fantastic job of making sure tenants are NOT happy! If you absolutely have no choice to live here, document literally every single instance you come in contact with the office or they WILL use it against you when you move out.EDIT 3: This place doesn’t check your apartment upon move out, they check whenever they want. So if you’re coincidentally “missing” all the furnished furniture and television upon move out. Good luck paying all those fees with no chance of investigation. Better yet, these thieves expect you to kneel and take the charges instead of investigating within their sketchy management.

Now that I have established myself as far as possible from this trash heap and gotten my security deposit I can write a review.DO NOT rent here!Massive bug problems. I'm convinced they're living and breeding in the bar and it needs to be replaced or hell, bug bomb the place [twice at minimum].They will also tow disabled people's cars but won't tow people without disabilities in handicap spots. They also won't allow visitors with disabilities to park closer to the unit buildings so if you have walking difficulties you will either have to walk down multiple ramps (one that doesn't have a way on it), down a steep hill, or better yet, don't visit at all.You are better off taking your $500-700 and living in a camp site and buy a gym membership or just live with your parents (if they allow it). I actually considered it at one point. Can't say anything about the gym or pool given that the roach problem gave me the idea that those amenities were most likely just as disgusting. That's just the screaming objective issues. There's probably worse but I didn't bother exploring the three story shack complex with what I was seeing in my own unit.Edit 1: Upon reading some of the other reviews you'll notice on some of them that the complex management will reply with "we have no record of [insert reviewer here]--". As funny as that is, it shows that either they are stupid in believing people don't use anonymous names online or it's a tactic to de-legitimize real issues that these people have which sounds more likely. Keep that in mind when you read these reviews or make one.

I love how high the ceilings are & how there’s plenty of room to decorate! The apartment feels very homey! I love the layout of my room & it feels comfortable.

For student housing, honestly surprised! I'll start by saying Janissa N. has given my roommate and I the best service and attitude from the start. Upon moving in we were not expecting the conditions the apartment was in (it is a place used by young college students so go figure). Though the communication with maintenance issues, bills, etc. has been thoughtfully handled by Janissa. I've stayed at OTHER student housing where it's dusty crusty and begged for accommodations or fixing, but they never quite get to anyone. High View has been reaching out by phone, email, and text to issues in a timely manner even if I'm not home (by permission). So far so good!

‼️SAVE YOUR MONEY and DO NOT MOVE HERE‼️ (Especially as a student)‼️99% positive the 5 star reviews for this location are either done by employees, or paid. When i tell you that every single bad review this place has gotten is 100% accurate to my experience at highview. i mean it with utmost honesty. It boggles my mind how Management such as Dan and Alisha get praise despite scamming tenants with “deals”, ridiculous cleaning and replacement fees, and clean and ready apartments.Disgusting business. Seriously consider spending a little extra at a different complex that cares even a little bit about your well being!!

Do yourself a favor and don’t live here! The management is rude and uncooperative. They try to charge you for ridiculous things and maintenance takes their time to fix things if they ever even get around to it. Pool was always closed. Office always conveniently closed between 1st and 3rd of the month when rent was due. Property was always dirty and had bug problems. Overall bad experience and would never live here again nor recommend anyone to live here.

High view is a wonderful place to live especially if you’re attending UTSA. Not only is the apartment complex walking distance to UTSA, there is also a shuttle that you can take to go directly to the school as well.High view also has great staff. They always greet you when you walk in and also are very communicative when you have a concern. Alisha Roane in particular was absolutely phenomenal when I needed help. Not only was she very responsive but also she puts a lot of hard work and effort into what she does!Overall if you’re attending UTSA and need a cost efficient and great apartment to live, I highly recommend Highview, especially if you’re first starting out. They help you during the entire journey and I can’t thank them enough for making my time their great!

The complex is cool, nice location. I would give the complex itself a 4/5 but the reason I’m giving 5 stars is because of Albert, one of the maintenance guys here. He’s always got the solution and comes promptly, he’s a cool dude.

Albert and his team were super professional and routinely handled my maintenance issues within the day! Albert is very knowledgeable and it is comforting knowing there is someone on site who cares about the residents.

‼️DO NOT MOVE HERE(Not For Students)‼️I must say I am extremely disappointed with the management and service at this place. I've encountered numerous issues that have left me frustrated and dissatisfied. The problems seem to stem from a lack of care and responsibility from the management team.Firstly, the service for repairing broken items has been consistently tardy. Whenever something breaks in my unit, it takes an eternity for them to address the issue. This has resulted in inconvenience and discomfort, which is unacceptable for a place that charges premium rates. Moreover, the condition of the furniture provided, particularly the sofas, is appalling. The sofas are uncomfortable and visibly worn out. It feels like the management doesn't bother to invest in maintaining the basic comfort and aesthetics of the living spaces. The gym facilities are also a disappointment. Many pieces of equipment are broken and unusable. It's not only inconvenient but also raises concerns about the safety standards they are maintaining. In summary, I cannot recommend this place due to its bad management and poor service. It's evident that the management is neglecting the residents' needs and failing to maintain the property adequately. I strongly advise potential renters to look elsewhere for a place where their comfort and well-being are genuinely prioritized.
