This particular H-E-B location is incredibly convenient for us, being just a few minutes from home. Unfortunately, it’s consistently hit or miss when it comes to stock. Nearly every time we stop by for a quick grocery run, we end up missing five or six items from our list due to them being out of stock. It's frustrating when you rely on a nearby store for everyday essentials and frequently leave without key items.
On a more positive note, the bakery at this location is phenomenal. Their conchas are the best we've had from any H-E-B in San Antonio, always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. It's one of the few reasons we still make regular stops here despite the stocking issues.
The customer service is usually quite good. Most of the staff are courteous, approachable, and helpful when we’ve needed assistance. That level of friendliness goes a long way in creating a welcoming shopping experience.
Another highlight is the meat department. While I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the city, it does consistently offer some of the better cuts we’ve seen around town. The quality is definitely above average compared to other locations nearby.
Overall, this store has a lot of potential. It’s clean, the staff is great, the bakery is top-tier, and the meat section stands out, but the persistent inventory shortages make it difficult to rely on for complete grocery runs. If they could improve their restocking or product availability, it would make a huge difference for regular shoppers like us.

Nina from customer service made my day! or should i say my start of the day. i went to my local heb 3 minutes from my house with my newborn which was Marbach heb plus. I was returning diapers from a baby shower that i needed to upsize. When i went to the customer service desk they did not want to exchange or return the diapers i had the worse experience there. i ended up calling Valley-Hi location telling them my situation and wanted to make sure they were able to help me b4 i took another trip with my baby. they told me to go over and help me. Thats when Nina helped me and took my ID and just made sure i was ok and gave me a Gift Card. i left a review on marbach about this situation about the cashier at customer service and manager of that morning. Thank you Nina! and Valley-Hi for having such amazing workers that love to help.

Well it was good and professional friendly the staff at HEB. And everything I found was in reach. Truly love the heb birds, some are loud and curious, others are just getting by. Beautiful color wings black and purple.

Pharmacy is not helpful at all. Quick to dismiss patients and not call insurance themselves to get medications to patients. Not only this Heb either, Pleasanton one loses paperwork and forgets they have dispensed rx before smh
