This has been my go to HEB for a long time - but lately, I've had several different issues with product freshness from this location. I made it home with drinks that were past their expiration date (didn't notice at the store) and had to throw them out. I made it home with a bag of granola that had a gap (opening) in the seal and had to toss it too. Most recently, I purchased a bag of HEB brand cashews that had a weird, strong fishy smell upon my first time opening the bag - which seems to indicate that they're past their prime / spoiled. I've never had these issues with HEB before or at other locations, so it's kind of disappointing. Really hoping this location can resolve these types of issues and be more proactive about purging bad / old product from the shelves. I'd like to be able to trust that what's stocked is fresh and safe to consume without having to verify every single expiration date.

I had a little over 10 items and some girl came over and said I would have to go to a different line. There were at least 6 registers open with no line and was hardly busy in the store. I came down with food poisoning and had not eaten in 48 hours and was just getting some soups and crackers and drinks. I said I was just not feeling well and if I could just checkout quickly to get back home I would appreciate it. She said no and turned the register off right in front of me. Unprofessional, lack of empathy, and just a cold person. I will not be coming back to this location.
