As I went through the checkout, I grabbed an item and the coupon. Handed the coupon to the cashier.....and she didn't scan/apply my coupon....makes no sense

On 7-30-24 at around 9:18pm a man (with dark hair/facial hair) in self checkout stood directly behind me as i scanned my items and paid extra close attention to me and not other shoppers. I felt extremely profiled. When I confronted him about how intensly he was focusing in on me he simply nodded and said "mhm" and continued to laser focus in as I paid for my items. During the process of me paying the man swapped positions with an older lady who resumed stand directly behind me and only me. When i confronted her she said she was" just zoning out". Please train your staff on being mindful of profiling behavior. I love HEB and would like to continue shopping here but I refuses to be profiled. I think training staff to check their bias when interacting with customers would be a step in the right direction.

I usually come to this HEB and one other one. However I no longer recomend this HEB. Cashier forgot to bag my salad, when I called they said to go to customer service and they would check the cameras. That was annoying. But I never went and just forgot about it. Now some time later I go to exchange an item and they said no. There was a lady and a man in a room that were managers they were very rude. No empathy. They said other hebs have the luxary to do echanges but not this one.
