H.E.B. is top of the line grocery store. Seems to have actual cashiers on registers here; they do offer self checkout, but it's always great to have a person at the registe for us old school shoppers.

I dont mind groceries being more expensive. Its what it is. What I do mind is curbside giving me rotten produce that they can see is obviously rotten--and still bag it and give it to paying customers. My school buys 4 figures worth of groceries a month and the photo below is what we get in return. Please do better.

H-E-B is a Texas legend that started in Kerrville. The stores are clean, the produce is fresh, and the associates are friendly. They have their own store brand that lowers your food costs. Their buying power allows you to purchase wine lower than any liquor store.Their H-E-B Plus stores include many other products found in stores such as Target and Walmart. We are blessed to have this chain in Texas.

Everybody in the store does an amazing job. From the stock crew, deli, produce, and the cashiers. They always have items available, and there's always someone on the floor available to assist if you can't find anything. I go out of my way to this H-E-B because they provide amazing service. They have two sections for self-checkouts if you don't like to wait in line. Most days it is not very crowded. You can get in and out quick.Shout out to cashier Carolina G. She is amazing and is incredibly helpful.

This store has been my local H-E-B for over 8 years. I shop in-store, use their delivery service & business center and have my prescriptions filled at their pharmacy. Across the board, their employees are friendly, helpful and happy. These employees exemplify the true meaning of customer service. For these reasons, I am a loyal customer.

This is a nice HEB with lots of space to take your time to and shop around. Daniel, he was taking care of the carts outside. He went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I today! I appreciate you caring and helping us. God bless you!

they had what I needed. A little bit pricey for some things, but that's pretty much everywhere. Store was clean and the vegetables were fresh (the ones wanted). The staff I encountered what wonderful. I said I was new in Texas, not just the area and what I needed and they stopped what they were doing and went to check things for me and came back with the answer. Very customer service friendly (no attitude). I really like it here and if I had encountered a negative vibe, I would have lit the place up with smiles and a song to brighten the day. This is my last rodeo and I am not having it. The store actually had very good vibes throughout the isles of supplies and demands. HEB is on my insta-cart as well. Its also close enough for me to stroll up and lyft back. It takes about 30 minutes or so for me (with my walker or chair) and they had tasters with food! I really liked this store..Oh, also if they could just add a walkway at the entrance at the light. I had to cross the street first, then walk more to the next driveway to walk through the parking lot. Work on that for me please. It would make my travels to HEB a little more pleasent and safer getting to the front of the store. Thanks

I go to the HEB on a weekly basis to pick up my curbside order, and have gone inside on occasion. This HEB is on the smaller side, however they offer tons of deals and coupons to that makes up for it. The store always has what I need, plus the gas pumps and car wash make it a one stop shop. Staff are always friendly and professional.

New HEB in da' hood! This HEB is high on the hilltop, overlooking Babcock. The store is larger than some, not as big as the others in the immediate vicinity. The produce section is always fresh here. There's a bakery on site that churns out the sweetness. The frozen section leaves some to be desired, it could be bigger... Beer selection here is pretty good. I'm always happy with the HEB brands of most of my groceries. There's a large self-check-out area here that's new. Fast! The clerks are always friendly and smile. There's a pharmacy here with a drive-thru. The clearance section is to the far left when you enter the store. The markdowns aren't as aggressive as other stores, but there's a wide variety of weird stuff in there. However, there are other stores that line this HEB, and the parking lot. It's got a HEB gas station, with some of the cheapest gas prices in the area!

TLDR: A recent incident at this HEB left me profoundly startled and humiliated. An employee acted as though I were attempting to steal my own car O.O HEB: 5910 Babcock Rd San Antonio, TX 78240 I was having a very bad day so I called a family member to talk on the phone in the HEB parking lot after getting groceries at around 9:30pm on 10/4/2023. I sat outside of my car to talk, walked around it as I talked for around 10 minutes, then sat back in the drivers seat as I spoke on the phone. I was then approached by someone who was not in uniform (who I later found out was an employee) who said "Is that your car?" implying I was attempting to steal it. (This employee was not security) I politely let him know that this indeed was my car and showed him my key, opened my car door and sat in the drivers seat, and asked if he worked there (he was not in uniform, but when he faced me to respond I saw his lanyard). He said "Actually I do" in an instigating and stern tone, so I attempted to deescalate and thank him by saying "Oh ok, well hey thanks for looking out!" and I smiled and waved (He was about 30 feet away). This employee responded by turning around, ignoring what I had said, and then waved me away in a shooing motion. O.O This employee then went over to security, pointed me out to him and they both stared at me as I attempted to continue my phone conversation. After a minute I waved my key at them and smiled, but they kept staring. I started my car for them to see that this was my vehicle, and after a bit they left. This employee was a tall man who is balding/bald and at least 40-50 years old. I was having an awful day and being treated like a criminal at HEB was not something I was expecting, especially the instigating and escalating tonality of this employee. I shop at this location 2-3+ times a week and have never experienced this. The employee's accusatory tone and dismissive gestures were highly unprofessional and discourteous. The way I was treated made my already awful day somehow even worse :( I am not certain if this employee is authorized to patrol the parking lot without security training, as there are already security guards trained on how to deal with people appropriately. If this employee was trained on this the situation could have been handled much better. In situations like this, it would be helpful if this employee approached customers with more tact and courtesy. Additionally, I would recommend that employees without official security training avoid making accusations and instead, call upon the trained security personnel to handle any potential concerns. This would ensure a more pleasant and respectful experience for customers like myself. I genuinely appreciate the vigilance of the HEB staff when it comes to safeguarding customers' vehicles; that's not the problem here. The issue lies in the fact that, while I was simply sitting next to my unlocked vehicle, I was questioned about its ownership. Even after confirming that it was indeed my car, both this employee and security personnel continued to closely monitor me. This persistent scrutiny, along with the disrespectful treatment I endured, made the situation incredibly distressing and humiliating. !!! 99% of the staff at this location is EXCELLENT, they always say hello, offer help, and treat me with the utmost respect and professionalism that you could get at a grocery store. This review is based on my experience with this single employee, and due to the way I was treated, I might be better off going to another HEB location from now on like HEB Plus at Bandera and 1604.

Salad is really good just wish they would provide more strawberry vinegar dressing and maybe some grilled chicken as an option.

Typical grocery store staff is your typical young generation. Used to be a slave there. Don't use curbside so can't tell you how well its run there. Boils are here on occasional weekends, but sometimes they'll boil shrimp for if you ask on other days. Shoutout to Chris in seafood if he still works there.

I left my wallet here at the self checkout and didn’t realize it until the end of the day. When I came back the guy working the self checkout recognized me and led me to the lost and found where they had my wallet waiting. Outstanding customer service even though this location can get fairly busy on the weekends. Thank again HEB!
