Friendly people and staff, but the gym needs a major upgrade. The facilities are worn out and several amenities (spa, steam room, sauna, hot tub) are frequently out of commission. They also took out the basketball court and replaced it with pickleball courts.

Pretty good gym. Hoist machines are kind of weird to use but that may be personal preference. Many times some of the grips and attachments are broken or tied by customers, which is kind of annoying. I remember one day after the gym purchased new rope attachments for the cables, some of them already had the metal thing that connects it to the cables taken off a day later

Dry sauna breaks every 30mins. Other than that, I’m satisfied

In a time of deteriorating customer service, Ulysses at the front desk is a breath of fresh air. He’s always in a good mood and you can tell when he greets you he means it. He remembers almost every customers name & occupation. Really has a passion for what he does and it seems to be rubbing off on the other employees. W for this golds gym

The most disgusting gym ever. I used to go there for over 10 years then I stopped since COVID. I decided to go back yesterday and check it out. Poor maintenance to none and extremely dirty. Very disappointing.

I want this gym to be good, but it just isn't. I think 2.5 stars is a more accurate rating in my view. The staff people are friendly. The facility has just really gone down hill in the last few years. Now, we're losing the basketball court and they can't keep the dry sauna, steam room, or hot tub going in the men's locker room at all. Proximity is the only thing this gym has going for me.
Update: Months later and this gym still can't keep the dry sauna going. I've been several times in the last few weeks and not one time has the dry sauna been up to temperature. Every time it's about 75 degrees below what it's supposed to be. It's ridiculous.

I have only been going to this location for the pool. I wasn't going for awhile and picked back up this past week. The pool used to be great but it is filthy now. The past two times I have gone the pool area is so full of chemicals it smelled like gasoline. The smell was so strong it burned my throat and caused me to wheeze for hours after. I've also seen multiple band aids floating around and all kinds of just dirt and grime.

I give a 4 star because this is my gym for over 10 years. Questions for the owner: Does Golds Gym have plans to update carpet, etc..? Is there a new owner? Would be nice if the members got updates, such as Baskeball Courts being torn down and a Pickle Ball Court going up.

The gym used to be fine but has gone downhill a lot and they took away the basketball courts!! That was the whole reason I signed up here! The managers couldn’t figure out how to control the small issues they had with the basketball courts so they punished the customer…very classy Roger’s Ranch. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The was once upon a time a gym in comparison to lifetime. Even today it has the facilities to be great it has a pool, great equipment, a healthy food court, basketball and racket ball.
However the gym desperately needs to be remodeled and updated. The carpet in the weight room has literally ripped. The equipment has rust on it. The washroom reeks and is never cleaned. There's a smell that comes from the weight rooms carpet. I understand it's a gym but it isn't supposed to smell the way it does. I urge the management to take this as constructive criticism and make the necessary upgrades to make Roger's ranch great again.

This gym used to be really nice. It's now reminiscent of the Concord when it was at the end of it's era. The carpet is trashed throughout and was told by the Asst. Mgr. that they have no intention of replacing it any time soon. Men's locker room is horrible and they did away with the little things that made it seem like an upscale location. You have to bring your own lock now since most of the combination locks are either broken or gone. Most of the equipment is either outdated or just not cleaned and taken care of. I will say that John at the Front Desk is always pleasant and professional. Most other employees don't interact with a lot of the members, at least not that I've seen. If LTF wasn't so damn expensive I'd go back but my company practically gives me a corporate membership to Gold's. I really hope they can get back to being the gym they used to be...but highly doubtful.

Honestly not sure what with all the bad reviews, this place is great!
Very spacious and plenty of equipment to use. Lots of weight and machines work just fine. Yes I will admit there might be a bike that could use some maintenance but it's not the end of the world ?.
But overall it's really great gym and I do recommend it

This gym was mediocre at best. LifeTime, LA Fitness are much cleaner and have more amenities. Planet fitness has all the same equipment for 1/3 the price. What set this gym apart from the others was the world class basketball court. One of the nicest hardwood floors, high quality backboards, and masterly designed.. now it’s all gone. Now that the court is gone, it’s just an overpriced & over crowded gym. I immediately cancelled my membership after being a customer for 14 years once I found out the basketball court isn’t coming back. It takes a real dullard to make that decision.

I’ve been a member for over a decade and this place went down hill fast after Covid.
They used to have an outdoor pool, child care, towels, and a number of other amenities that have sense been removed. A lot of the amenities such as the outdoor pool just lay dormant and dilapidated, giving the place a run down janky vibe similar of downtown Detroit.
Secondly, the employees are NEVER at the counter. I’m sure I could cancel my membership and have no problem gaining access to the gym. On the rare occasion you do catch an employee at the counter they don’t even speak to you, just sitting on the counter texting!!
I don’t want my feet kissed, just bare minimum customer service that’s it & they can’t even do that. L ?♂️

Yall never have towels or working water or whatttttt? I’ve been coming back now for 3 weeks and haven’t had a towel available and the water was broken for about a week. I pay 55$ per month. Didn’t go for about 6 months. Smh. Just donating to the pockets of the owner. … Update: Also fix the water dispensers. Your water dispensers have been out for weeks now. You have me and others filling up our water bottles from the water fountains. lol
