Arianna was amazing! I came in to get my ring size and she was so sweet and helpful. She didn’t just let me try different sizes on… she walked me through options and recommended sizing beads. She cared about my experience even when it was something simple. Highly recommend her <3

Just happened to find good reviews for Gold tender and wanted to give it a try and I was not disappointed! Everyone was super helpful and they were able to polish, repair and gold plate my jewelry very quickly and efficiently, highly recommend!

I want to respond to negative review regarding pearl ring. We take a before picture and an after picture through our take in process. In the take in picture which can not be altered, it can be seen that the ribbon on ring is damaged. Customer refuses to see it or acknowledge. As far as comment made by other jeweler that it should have been removed is not 100% correct either. Oscar know as well as I do that sometimes when we work on heat sensitive stones they may or may not be easily removed, we then submerge the pearl or any other heat sensitive stone in water as we apply heat. So, it is impossible to melt any metal surrounding a pearl while it's in water and if heat had damaged the gold which occurs at 1500 degrees it would have certainly damaged her pearl which is not the case

This review is 18 years in the making. I searched through many jewelers before I found Dan at Gold Tender. I had a very clear picture in my head of what I wanted. Dan made it even better than I dreamed when other jewelers in town told me they couldn't do it. I'm a personal trainer so it gets beat up in the gym every day. It's stood the test of time!

These guys fix annnnything. They took apart my James Avery clasp that I didn’t want to lose and remade a spring to fix the clasp. I took it to 3 other jewelers who just wanted to sell me a new clasp and said that once the spring goes out that’s it, time for a new one. This is a discontinued bracelet and the logo of James Avery is inscribed on the clasp, did not want to lose that. Daniel at Gold Tender fixed this one good as new and I couldn’t be more happy with the service. This place has been here since 1995 and a staple in the Alamo Heights community. I will not ever go anywhere else or try anyone else. This is a family business with 25 years of being in business and a perfect reputation in Alamo Heights. Often imitated never duplicated. Thanks a lot YALL are the best!

I have been looking for a respectable and honest jewelry place for a while. I needed to resize a nice heirloom ring that was giving to me. Then I stumbled and read the amazing reviews of this special place, GOLD TENDER JEWELRY CRAFTSMEN. So I went, 4 days ago, i got the privilege to meet Craftsman Dan. To begin with, he was a very gentleman and I can tell he has the compassion to give only the best for his customers. He take pride of his workmanship. The store was amazingly, well presented and clean. I felt safe and have the feeling of security. In some reason, at that moment, i feel that this is the store I will trust my pieces for repairs in the future. He did his best to help me with, what i want and need for my ring done. At the end , I am a very happy customer and for sure will comeback again for any jewelry repairs or maybe purchases In the near future. Best experience ever at a jeweler, very fast jewelry repair turn around and the quality far exceeded every where else I had been. These guys do it all from A-Z, couldn't be happier thank you Gold Tender! I’ve had horrible experiences working with Mr penoloza in the same shopping center, who doesn’t know a thing about actual jewelry work . They think they are a store like Morettis and they are very from it!!! They have no designer and their cad artist is very lacking in areas that I feel should be fulfilled by a professional. I’m tired of receiving their flyers in my mail and each time I get one I take it to gold tender and see what they can do for me instead. Now that I think about this I should post my negativity on penolozas reviews site. Thank you Gold Tender for the professionalism and outstanding high quality of CUSTOM manufactured jewelry from your store.Just picked up my custom platinum cuff links and these things turned out awesome! Flawless work gentlemen! I’m never let down here and y’all always do a great job. I don’t know why Rebecca Matthews is leaving reviews on here if she’s never been here? But maybe you should stop by and have a see for yourself and then leave a review. Do some research and find the truth- you’ll feel better… and look less ridiculous. I can’t wait for my next project! Thanks again Gold Tender !Just picked up my fiancé’s custom platinum diamond ring. Wow! If it was my size I’d wear this thing. 8 carat total and it’s sweet. I never hesitated to come here when I knew what I wanted. I knew no one else in town could come close to making this ring and honestly probably no one in this state could either. This is an update to my original 1-star review. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in regards to my interaction with the Gold Tender. In addition, Dan, who works at the Gold Tender said my ring (after he ruined it by sizing it incorrectly) could not be fixed. After further research, I learned he should have removed the pearl, prior to sizing. He did not do that, hence the lopsided ribbon around the pearl. I took it to a highly skilled Jeweler on Broadway, called the Jewelry Store. Oscar is able to fix Dan's mistake. If you care about your gems and jewelry, I say run, don't walk when considering the Gold Tender. I also posted this complaint on NextDoor and another neighbor confided in me that she will be taking a piece of jewelry that Dan at Gold Tender ruined over to Oscar at the Jewelry Store to see if he can fix it. Stay away!
