Fort Sam Houston Commissary is a grocery store with great prices, especially for meat products like pork belly, baby back ribs, and fresh cut meat. It now carries beer and wine. The deli provides amazing service with very fresh subs, vegetables, and meats. Staff are consistently courteous, polite, and helpful. However, the fresh seafood selection is very limited, with more available frozen. Some frozen foods can seem freezer burnt, and fruits are not always the freshest, sometimes requiring shoppers to go elsewhere. The store is generally a decent and pleasant shopping experience, though stocking can sometimes be slow.
Friendly staff. The cleanest, shiniest floor I have ever seen. Impeccably organized and well stocked.

Great prices as all commissaries! Has really good pork belly, baby back ribs. Now carries beer and wine! Only downside is the very limited fresh seafood selection but they do carry a fair amount in the frozen section.
