I used this First Responders in 2017 and had a great experience so I wanted to give them my business again but felt like I had to beg for it. They did not return phone calls and it took several weeks and countless voicemails to get the move booked.
We originally booked two trucks with five people. Somewhere along the line they changed it to one truck with three people. We discovered this on moving day. Again, I could not get up with the company to do anything about it. The workers showed up in a rented truck with not enough furniture wrap and had to make two trips to get everything so it turned into about a 14 hour day. Never a call back from the company. No issue with the actual workers. They worked hard and were professional and courteous. It is a shame the management and customer service is so poor.

Good luck getting a hold of anybody here. I'm sure they do good work but you cannot get a phone call or email retuned so they'll essentially hold your things hostage for weeks until they decide it's not linger "summer and busy season." Keep in mind - they charge you for the time they hold your items even though you continuously attempt to pick them up "during hours" but the lights are off and the doors are locked if you show up.

We used First Responders moving today. The guys came prepared with tools and all the extras we may need to protect our furniture and make the move more successful. They worked really well together and we're incredibly professional and kind.I'd definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone moving.

All of the above. Very pleased how Jacob handled multi location service. He and his crew Javon and Chris were hard working, fast and efficient. Displayed great teamwork Very professional, friendly and cared about my belongings. Definitely will recommend these guys and if I have to move again, First Responders will be my first choice. Planning not to move again, but they eased the pain of moving. Thank you!

I used First Reponders for a move back in October. During the move, they broke a bracket on my couch, so I filed a claim. As soon as I submitted my claim though, they ghosted me (stop answering emails, calls, etc). I ended submitting a complaint through TxDMV after a few months, which finally got them to pay out my claim. I would not recommend them for a move as they are generally overpriced for the service they provide and will likely not pay out claims (until you complain to TxDMV).Edit: They said they paid immediately when I submitted my claim form, but that isn’t true. TxDMV doesn’t open an investigation unless it’s over 90 days from submitting a claim, which it was. I had submitted my claim around the beginning of November, waited the 90 days for their response, and when no response was heard (which I had tried to email and call them multiple times), I submitted the complaint to TxDMV, which then got them to respond to me. The damage was legitimate (couch was fine before they moved it). Not only will they not pay out your claim, but then they’ll gaslight you about it. Note that this was all over a simple ~$50 claim. Probably the shadiest business I’ve dealt with.

Jacob, Alex and Loto were awesome! They called to let me know they were 15 minutes out from arrival and when they did arrive they immediately introduced themselves which made me feel very comfortable. They came in, packed efficiently, made sure all items were protected/wrapped, and then turned around and unloaded all our items in a timely manner. All 3 of these men were polite and respectful. The most amazing part is that they did it all in 3 hours! I would definitely use them again.

Moving can be very stressful, but the team First responders did everything in the best possible way.My things were neatly loaded and quickly delivered without damages.First responders moving was highly recommended to me and definitely will call them again.These guys are the best!I appreciate you all

I was assured of a set hourly fee in our initial conversation. When I got the bill i was charged an extra $75 for drive time on top of the hourly fee. This was a 3.4 mile drive.The workers were good although NOT "first responders" Took some needed screws.

The quote which was given to me for a two-bedroom apartment for two movers was for between 4-6 hours. The movers that arrived almost an hour later than the scheduled time with one smelling like he had barely finished smoking some weed. While the movers were nice and courteous, they took their time. None of the bathrooms, kitchen or main bedroom closet was packed and ready to move, so I thought the job would be done within quoted time or less. Besides furniture, everything was boxed, so there wasn't anything unusual about the moving job, but to help them out, I was moving boxes myself from the bedrooms to near the apartment entrance to assist them. The job took them 9.25 hours for what wasn't even a fully packed 2-bedroom apartment. Here are the things that really drop their rating from me though: Our dining table was one of the first items, if not the first item, that was placed in the truck. While it was blanketed and wrapped to prevent damage, unbeknownst to me, the movers placed boxes on it during the move. Since it was now one of the last items to be taken down, that meant that for at least over 8 hours, it had boxes weighing down on it. While setting up in my new home during the time the movers are bringing items in, I realize that I haven't seen them for maybe 15-20 minutes. I go to the moving truck and see them both under the table trying to fix it. They tell me the table is broken as the weight of the boxes they put on it made it bow inward. They also tell me that they could fix it but they don't have the proper tools to do so and that basically, the reason it bowed inward was because it was poorly made. They continue for another 20 minutes trying to fix it until I finally get fed up and ask them what I can do about the table and they said I would have to contact their boss, John, and put in a claim. I sign and write the comments about the broken table that we need the claim for that was broken due to their negligence and filled out the payment info. They told me that my receipt would be emailed to me, however, none of the comments I put regarding the broken table were in the receipt. They said they had been trying to contact John themselves to see what the process would be but that he was always hard to get a hold of, even for them. Frustrated at this point, I let my wife continue to handle the situation as I went inside. They get a hold of John but don't let my wife speak to him and when she tries to call him at the number they provide she's forced to leave a message. This happened Friday. While it is Tuesday, I understand Monday was a holiday, we have still not heard back from John or anyone from this company regarding this issue. Even though this company came highly recommended to us, I am very disappointed in their professionalism and utter lack of communication in trying to fix a customer's problem they caused and the full moving experience. Hopefully, I can change my review based on a resolution to this matter.

These guys were awesome! Alex, Melvin and Jacob were happy to do everything we asked of them without any issues. They just did the work with care, all the time calm and steady. My respect, gentlemen!
