Purchased 2 Mountain Laurels today from our favorite Garden Center and Alex Zavala delivered and planted them as well. He removed a dying Sago Palm and expertly prepared the ground for the new shrubs. Alex is a very personable and professional young man and we will be coming back to Fanick's and Alex for our future gardening needs.

I was searching for some fruit trees, including an avocado tree. I found some variety however the avocado trees seems to be a little yellow. I went to a different nursery and their avocado trees were amazing and cheaper.Nothing against them. Good place.

My co-worker recommended Fanicks so I took my 13 year old gardener and he was in heaven. Great selection, pricing, and service and advice. We can't wait to go back!

Their staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and caring (esp Alex). Not only did they conduct an exhaustive search to find us the right tree, they made sure it fit our needs and gave us valuable information to make sure we will be successful in planting it, keeping it alive, and helping it grow. We are extremely pleased and thankful!

Great selection of indoor/outdoor plants and trees, as well as friendly and helpful staff. Prices are competitive but I honestly would pay more because my experience is always so good.

Fanick's Garden Center is my current fave for finding nearly any kind of garden plant from annual flowers to shade trees. My personal interest is narrow: native Texas plants, preferably drought tolerant or downright hardy ones that require little or no supplemental watering. Besides plant selection, Fanick's has a great staff of very knowledgable people who can help you understand what suits your needs and will thrive here. In fact, some of the people there have worked there a long time and grew up in this locale, and are a treat to talk with. I've enjoyed listening to their stories and learning from their experience. By the way, Fanick's also has a shed with gardening supplies and equipment, and appears to focus on what they have determined works best around here. I should add that I'm not from around here - I'm a recent transplant from other SW states. I've sought out native-plant-focused nurseries where I've lived before, and my search here was mainly using recommendations from my new local friends and acquaintances. Fanick's has been in business since the 1930's so I'm told, and that's a testimony of their reliability in itself. I found at Fanick's the local expertise I need to help me sort out what plants will be "happiest" on my little piece of San Antonio soil. I highly recommend Fanick's.

I found this location after reading about it online and it didn't disappoint. I was looking for strawberry and onion plants for my garden and Fanick's had an awesome selection! I had several questions that were quickly but throughly answered by the cashier. As far as pricing, I feel like Fanick's is a great value when it comes to the price and quality of the plants offered. I will definitely be back for more veggies as our season change.

This place is awesome. They have huge trees, medium trees, and smaller trees. They have fruit trees, veggies, and flowering plants. You can tell that everything is being taken care of VERY well. And if you're a cat person, they have some cute kitties wandering around! ☺️

A true gem in the jungle. The variety of plants was truly amazing, not the same old stuff from local stores. The best prices in town on all herb and vegetables. Found you on accident. But DEFINITELY yall have been added to one of my favorites on goggle maps.
