We moved in; back in February, and it has taken some time to write this review. I review based off of peoples actions and not just emotion. First and foremost much thanks given to our representative who helped us with all the paperwork, Ms. Jaelynn. Any property of this size will always have issues, but rest assured they take care of their issues very promptly. We love the fact that it is a family friendly environment, but the entire staff is great down to all the maintenance crew. This not only feels like home.....It is HOME. We love our apartment, and couldn't have asked for a better place to call HOME. We're not that far from anything, and can make even downtown San Antonio in about 15-20 minutes with light-medium traffic. I am not only recommending this place to our family, but all of our friends. It may have had a bad past, but with all the work going on here and the great staff I can say you really need to come check this place out for yourself. I cannot tell you how much we love it here, and encourage you to come check this property out for yourself.

These apartments along with the one across the street "Hunters glen" hire leaf blowers to literally blow leaves into the streets, they don't pick any of em up and let cars trys to crush the leaves, very lazy work ethics, these leaf blower people will show up at 7:30 In the morning and on weekends sometimes so forget enjoying a relaxing quiet morning with leafblowers blaring from 8am to noon just blowing leaves on the street.Work ethics are sad these days, yall paying these people to push leaves into other people's yards???? literally blowing them towards Hunters glen and the guys that show up to "do" hunters glen also push leaves towards Fairways.Fire the trashy workers please.

We all know every apartment is not the sameWhat makes the difference with where you live definitely the people around you definitely the management company definitely is the staff and maintenance. When you choose an apartment. You’re choosing where you’re going to spend most of your time and a place that you’re going to call home well if I might be so bold, I would recommend the Fairway five apartments I’ve lived at all types of different town houses apartments houses and I’ll tell you the staff at fairways five you definitely want to be working with the property manager Jessica she doesn’t just manager of a apartment complex as a job. She considers her tenants her family and it’s very heartwarming , the staff there is incredible always with a smile always willing to help any kind of way Jaelyn especially I don’t think I have ever seen her not smiling and that makes a difference. The maintenance prompt and skilled for any issue. Also very friendly. If you find yourself w a maintenance issue It’s taken care of and nipped in the bud right away which I really appreciate because who wants to wait around for four or five days to have your toilet unclogged not me, it’s located in the best area because it’s by everything you could ever want to be around. Really close to a lot of different restaurants you are also by a lot of different parts in the city so if you have to be somewhere and you live at Fairways, your commute will be short I guarantee it the thing I love best about my apartment well it’s actually a townhouse. My townhouse at the fairways was the my favorite because of the double balconies! so I had a bigger one balcony on the bottom, which I loved, because my dog and daughter could enjoy it, and then I had a private one in the master bedroom, which was always very easily accessible because it’s in my bedroom and I could just take one step out and get a fresh clean air and just feel like I can take on the world. Despite being on one of the main streets, it’s weirdly quiet everybody kinda keeps in themselves and it’s very family orientated, there’s no crazy loud music, or questionable characters you have to worry about. There’s no hating the neighbors and wanting to move just because you live next to somebody you dislike. it’s not like that and I only got to stay for a short period of time. I wish it would’ve been longer, but I just wanted to leave you with this, your safety your happiness your amount of comfort those are all key factors when it comes to finding a home. that’s what you’ll get when you lease at Fairway fives apartments.

My car got towed due to a mistake/misunderstanding on my part and the staff were able to help me resolve the issue and while I have some issues with certain policies, none are with the people working in their office who have helped me resolve issues.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I moved out in 2020 after I discovered the bed bugs I suspected were there since before I moved in right as the pandemic was kicking off... AND they tried to close off the laundry room, citing the pandemic, which just meant sending residents to the laundromat down the street, if your unit didn't have in unit W/D or hookups - so imagine discovering the nest of the bedbugs you've known were there the whole time and the closest place to throw your laundry in the wash/dryer being several blocks away, during the early days of the pandemic when all you knew was to avoid crowded public places and stay home. Yeah, they owned up to it being their fault since I'd been making complaints about the bedbugs from day 1, but only after I brought them pictures of the nest and dragged a maintenance person to see it for himself, so yes, they paid for the treatment. They did not, however, pay for the hotel I had to book during the treatment because I needed to go SOMEWHERE, and with my pets, who had been suffering in silence, no less. That was the last straw, and I don't even want to think about all the lies and terrible service I experienced leading up to that. My car had been robbed in the parking lot, the water pressure was non-existent, the tap water even with a Brita filter was disgusting, the person below me played music so loud all day long that I couldn't hear my own music, the sidewalks around the parking lot were crumbling, the one tiny window in my unit had a tree blocking any light from coming in, and it was INFESTED with roaches. INFESTED. You may get what you pay for, but this place takes every advantage of people who need something as affordable as possible, and gives them SUBstandard living conditions.

Most recent update: Chris from maintenance has been awesome. He promptly took care of the most pressing safety issues (smoke detector, etc.) and cleared the trash including that in the common area at the side of the building. Going to do what I can to make the space decent and get the other issues addressed.ORIGINAL: I apologize ahead of time for any typos. My roommate and I just moved into this place. I was hesitant to post a review because of possible retaliation, but I cannot in good conscience keep silent about this complex. So many things are wrong about it that it's hard to find anything right about it. The best compliment I have is the carpets look clean, but I have my doubts. My roommate had the opportunity to tour the model apartment. I expect there to be some differences between the model and the actual, but in my opinion this is outright false advertising or bait and switch. The first sign of trouble was when my roommate told me that they had to make keys for us because a worker who is supposed to turn in the key he had did not return it. All the locks should have been and need to be changed because that is a major security issue. The strange thing is our keys only work on the front door and not on either storage unit.Speaking of the storage units, one of our movers warned us that we needed to clean out the back storage unit because someone's stuff was in there. He waved his hand in front of his nose when he showed us that unit. I guess the stench got to him. As you can see from one of the photos, the lock on that unit is messed up, and I'm still not sure why there's a dangling deadbolt on the inside of a storage unit. A couple more photos show the junk I raked out of the storage unit as well as the condition of the backyard space including someone's discarded hospital bracelet.Other photos are more self-explanatory I think. As you can see, the smoke detector is missing. I'm pretty sure the law requires landlords to have working smoke detectors in each apartment. We haven't tested the carbon monoxide detector yet but need to do so ASAP. I am afraid to use the oven or stove. I took a close up of the outside of the oven, and I don't think the damage I see is merely cosmetic.A couple more things are very concerning. The movers made comments about the strong fumes from the (alleged) paint job. Something in each bathroom was painted. I'm assuming it was the bathtubs because I see blobs of paint along the edges. My dog went into my bathroom with me and started making noises like she was having trouble breathing. The fumes got to me, too. Things are so bad that I'm writing this from our family home that is scheduled to be listed soon. I bought a couple of air mattresses yesterday so that we didn't have to sleep at the apartment last night. The window in each bathroom is filthy. Both kitchen windows are dirty and cracked.I could keep going on about the conditions, but I think you get the picture. Our move-in date was changed to one day later because of the work that supposedly was being done on the apartment. I spent a good part of the actual move-in day crying so hard that my nose got blocked up repeatedly. (The paint fumes didn't help.) I am grateful for a roof over my head, but for over $1,200/month which I expect to magically jump up to $1,800/month based on other reviews, I didn't expect a dump.Lynd Living's motto is "Home is here." I think it should be changed to "Home is HERE?" God bless them anyhow. But if you're considering an apartment in the medical center area, I would choose a different complex if I were you.
