I had never been to Take 5 Oil Change. I had a longer wait time than I anticipated. There were a few cars before me. I had not scheduled an appointment. The technician who assisted me was very thorough, professional and courteous. His name was Rafe. I very much appreciated his kindness and expertise during my service. Periviously all maintenance had been done at the dealership on my GMC 2019 Canyon Truck , or at a Midas Center down the street. The dealership would take too long, however they do offer free shuttle service. Midas on the other hand, was getting too expensive. They had a different manager and things were not the same as before. They actually turned me away on that particular day and sent me over to your location. I did appreciate how the Take 5's team worked together to communicate and help the process along. I did not appreciate that the cheaper package was NOT available. I had to pay extra because that location was out of stock. Why was it NOT in stock? Why not offer me the next package at the other package's price? It certainly is not my fault that it's not available? I had already been waiting long enough to leave without having my oil changed at this point. Then came the soliciting of the other products. That's when I realized why it took longer than usual for the oil change. It's about the final sale. Pushing the other products on the shelf. Yes, you have the option to say "No", but now that it's been brought to your attention, Well, isn't it the best thing to do now!?! But whatever happened to topping off the other fluids? That wasn't even brought up or even thought of as a courtesy for the extended wait and a bill of $195.00. So, Rafe, you are very kind, probably too kind to be working for a company who wants to constantly sell their products with the gimmick that you're gonna be IN and OUT, and very competent !!! Just saying. Take 5 Oil Change not the greatest experience for me.

After waiting for more than an hour and having an appointment, I finally got into the bay and two hours later had my oil change and paid for the state inspection, but the person was not authorized to do it so I could not receive any kind of paperwork stating that I pass After calling multiple times. I’ve reached the call center where a person named Karen gave me terrible attitude blaming me saying that it was my fault. I would highly not recommend.

Went here last week for an oil change and as always very well pleased with customer service. I have been coming here for some time and will continue to do so. I also like how they show you the oil level after it has been changed. You can see everything firsthand as the work is being performed.

I have been coming here for awhile and the last time I had bought the mobile 1 full synthetic where they told me it would be a free change out the next time I come get it done. Upon arrival they told they “couldn’t” find my information which threw me off because I know they have my information in the system.. Then they tell me they lost it because the system messed up and deleted most of the information on the clients.. how is that my problem? So they asked for a receipt and they asked for the name of the guy who told me about the oil change.. how the hell am I supposed to know the guys name.. I tried finding the paperwork I had for the last oil change but I couldn’t find it in which they told me there was nothing they could do.. in the end they charged me full price and I just feel cheated.. never coming here again. Thanks for nothing.

Went for an inspection today. They were busy, at least the young lady and the young man were. I was the third car in the line in the last bay. I got out to ask if there was someone there to do inspections. Waited about 5 min in the office then the manager (he had a beard) came in and he said yes. So, I waited 20 minutes and the car in front of me went into the stall. Then they let the other car in the next stall go in also. Waited about 5 minutes and they both left because it would take so long. There were only 2 people working and I see the manger leave. I get in and waited another 10 minutes and asked the young man how long it would take for an inspection. He said the manager is the one to do that and he left to do a bank drop. So, not only did the manager know what I needed because I asked him right when I got there, he leaves when they are super busy to do a bank drop. Unbelievable!

I guess it takes 3 people to drill a hole into roof but 0 people to come and speak to customers or even acknowledge them. Avoid Hillcrest/Babcock location. Much better service and staff and other locations.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE-DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT A WORKING VEHICLE. I went to this location YESTERDAY for a simple oil change and vehicle inspection. I sat in the sun with my car running for approximately an hour and a half while they moved the other lines and customers around and made my vehicle stay in the lane it was in. When I was finally serviced, they told me I needed coolant and a bunch of other stuff so fine whatever did it. They also told me I had an issue with my coolant fan and it was melting from my radiator heat, but that the radiator was fine and had no issues. I got everything done including coolant and oil and VERIFIED THAT with the main vehicle inspector AFTER they told us we were done. I needed my vehicle inspection report and they told me to pull up and out so they could move the next car into the bay and they'd give me my paper shortly. I waited for approximately 20 more minutes in the sun with my car running. After waiting, I got the paper, but it wasn't even for my car, it was for the vehicle behind me getting serviced. I brought this to their attention and gave it back and instead of printing mine IMMEDIATELY so I could go, they asked me to move my car further onto their back lot and park so I could get my paper and SO THE GUY BEHIND ME (who was serviced after me) could LEAVE FIRST. That guy left and I waited approximately 40 more minutes before getting my paper, totaling approximately 2 and a half hours of sitting with a car running in the hot sun. After I drove home TWO MILES AWAY, my car radiator MAGICALLY HAD A PROBLEM with the radiator and OVERHEATED. I took my car to an auto-shop today and they told me that I need an oil change (BECAUSE OF DIRTY OIL) and a coolant flush (BECAUSE IT'S DIRTY), WHICH IS WHAT I PAID FOR AT THIS TAKE 5 LOCATION. I believe with over 100% certainty that I was cheated at this location and that THEY PERSONALLY messed up my vehicle to this point that it needs these repairs and a possible radiator replacement. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND MESS UP YOUR CAR.
Added information here for those of you ever trying to get a claim started with them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR BOTHER. THEY WILL FIND ANY WAY THAT THEY CAN TO DENY YOUR CLAIMS. I took my car to get repaired and sent them PROOF and they wanted to let me know that it must be "issues with my car" that caused the oil to be dirty after ONE DAY, even though my car engine and everything was checked out AND CLEARED BY A DIFFERENT MECHANIC. MY ENGINE IS COMPLETELY FINE AND TAKE 5 IS TRYING TO PUT RESPONSIBILITY ON EVERYONE BUT THEMSELVES. NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO HERE DESPITE WHAT THESE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS SAY. THEY ARE CLEARLY AI GENERATED BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE ISSUES HERE AND THEY WANT GOOD RATINGS. TAKE 5 CAN HONESTLY TAKE EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAY THEY STAND FOR AND THROW IT AWAY BECAUSE THIS IS A JOKE OF A COMPANY AND WILL SCAM ANYONE AND EVERYONE.
Update: this company themselves say they are not in the business of customer service, so honestly do not expect anything from them as they clearly state in their email correspondence to me and so take my warnings and this email from them as the truth for what this company actually stands for, which is just making a quick profit and moving people along with no care or customer service or help if you have issues.

The young men who work here were very professional, polite, and efficient. They told me about other services they had but there was no hard-sell. I would come back the next time I'm visiting San Antonio. But one thing I will not do next time is make an appointment on the company website. I had a 10 a.m. appt and arrived at 9:50. There was no "appointments only" lane like the reservation promised. I waited in line behind two other cars and eventually got in at 10:40. Fortunately I wasn't in a hurry. This is not the fault of the workers there but of the company management. This kind of place really is set up to be first-come first-serve so they shouldn't even offer reservations on the website. So definitely stop by if you need an oil change but don't waste your time on their reservation system.

Good customer service but didn’t have the oil I wanted so had to use upgraded on. Which isn’t bad but more than I was planning to spend.

Took my car here several times and each time I come the service is fantastic. They always make sure to check everything and let you know what needs attending. Rafe was the guy who did an excellent job the most recent time I went.
