Haven’t had a terrible experience here. As a South Asian in San Antonio I find it hard to come across a local Indian mart to get my ingredients from. This would definitely be the place to be!

This place lies. 1st thing I called this place at 9:35pm on 12/30/2023. I told the old lady there that I was on my way to pick up 3 boxes of RMD (Manikchand) a type of Indian chewing tobacco. She precisely told me she will close exactly at 10pm if I can make it by then, I sped myself there and when, I got there 9:55pm she already set the alarm and walked out, citing that she had no customers. The old lady charges $32.46 per box times that by 3 its $97.38, almost a $100.00 customer she lost let alone when I told her she started cursing in her native language, which my friend understood and not me. This place is a fraud business food and meat is also not Halal which is my 2nd concern. Stay Away... Go To Shahi Grocery Amjad Bhai is a much better store owner, with fresh items. This place is owned by a man name Rahim aka Jimmy, who is never there and has these people running his business that have no experience running a business. Read the bad reviews save your self and money from this place please.

I went into the store last week and I bought lamb (Ghosh meat), I went back home and my Wife started to cook the Ghosh and the Ghosh didn’t cook at all whatsoever for 4 hours repeatedly. And yet it was still really raw. I am highly disappointed in this store, how is the management selling this product without realizing that their meat isn’t cooking. I am thinking that the management is aware of this happening and I’m sure I’m not the only customer experiencing this. This is a disappointment to the Indian community in San Antonio. I will NOT be buying from here ever again and I will only be buying from Ali Baba.

Namaste, I used to shop for grocery every weekend on Sunday. There was a little girl there who worked there. She hasn't been there for a couple of weeks. I'm not sure why. Because she had great customer service, my wife usually gave me a list and the little girl always helped me out, she had such a kind heart and would always be helpful to everyone. What happened to her?? Sorry to say, but this store lost me as a customer, now a days I go Ali Baba, or Shahi. Wherever she is may she find better opportunities in her life. I miss her.

Love the variety of the Indian groceries At Evans Groceries. They carry all variety of Indian groceries, vegetables and meats. I shop at Evans grocery at least once a week. The vegetables and meats are fresh and reasonably priced. They also have all the spices, lentils, rice and flour for chapatis. The frozen food section has everything one can d The staff is also very helpful. I would recommend Evans groceries to anyone who is looking for Indian groceries in the north east San Antonio. Please visit Evans grocery as soon as possible. The store has plenty of variety of all grocery supplies. The store ambiance is a typical Indian store. You will get everything you are looking for.

Hello, Myself Sarah. I go to Evans every week. Preferably on vegetable days. The lady who works there in the morning does not care about her customers at all. She’s always sitting on the chair. I wanted to buy tea and wanted to check the expiration date, you could clearly see the expiration had been wiped out. I believe she’s selling expired items.
