The drivers from this company are dangerous. Tailgating on 35 in a semi stop and go traffic 5ft from my bumper at 50+mph. Children in car. This person could have killed someone.

Welp how do i get one these super trucker jobs i too want to watch videos on my phone while i drive down the interstate or it is im just not that special or is it im just not skilled enough to multi task like some of your drivers . Your drivers must be oblivious to the DOT regulations fines and penalties. Im going to cut to the chase i witnessed 1 of your drivers headed south on i35 just b4 waco at around 0515 1/04/2023 with his phone in clear view he had some movie or video playing i couldn't get a truck number but he was hauling trailer # 51916 with your company dd logo on the back door .

I've only been partnered with one other outfit in my career that compares to the way Double Diamond Transport treats their contractors and their drivers. They've got some of the best customers in the industry. They strive to keep me running and making a decent living. I'm often given a choice of where I would like to go. While I am not entirely certain if they have dedicated lanes of travel they will ask you where you like to run and where you don't. If you choose to run San Antonio (home base) to Dallas you will find a plethora of drop and hook freight, if it's SA to Houston, same thing. I prefer to run the road. I haul mostly light loads for a customer here in the SA area but do haul heavy loads in the SE region. Their freight unlike some competitors pay extremely well. You are home every weekend or before you run out of hours for a 34 restart break. I've met alot of great people here. The owner is a great guy, who learned the business from the ground up. His dispatchers (Steve Brewer) are very knowledgeable and professional as well as personable. They've got a first name basis here. The fleet is small which is nice and growing. They don't just hire anyone, the hand pick from the cream of the crop. They want you to succeed here. They have a maintenance escrow so you've got money for those unexpected things on your truck. They've got their own first rate shop that stays ahead of things, they'll wash your tractor, have on site parking for their contractors, secure too. They do require a clean truck they prefer newer equipment, but if it'll pass a Texas dot they might allow you to contract to them. I've found my forever home here at Double Diamond Transport in San Antonio Texas. You might too.

Former O/O , fees are a joke , no rate con they pay you what ever they fell , escrow accounts are a joke, force Dispacht and nobody answers the phone at night so good luck trying to get help, dispatcher are not professional at all, Stay away from this company, there’s a reason why they always hiring

No rate con, detention some to none no matter the wait, force dispatch, refuse load means you get to sit a couple of days, no overnite dispatchers if you have issues be ready to solve yourself, escrows are a joke should be optional not forced, need receipts to get your own money out of the maintenance escrow. Lots of other stuff but you all can find out on your own. Clowns running the show.

My husband has been an owner-operator here for over 6 years and we couldn't be happier. They've never treated him (us) as "just a driver" and even sent me flowers when I had surgery before I had even met any of them! Hubby can request specific dates off without any questions and they are always accommodating as huge supporters of "family time". It really is a great place to trust your family's livelihood with.

I have been with Double Diamond for 6 years as a owner operator. Great company to work with. The owners are very hands-on and friendly and will do everything they can if you have a problem. The dispatch team are awesome they work with you and make sure you can get the home time you want. The shop is always there to fix problems you may have. The safety and payroll departments are great also and always have a open door if you have any questions.
